Description
" Souvenir of their visit to America"
These were handed out to Disc Jockeys in 1964 as a promotional 45 rpm record that was their "souvenir of their visit to America."
The example here is one that sold on ebay a couple weeks ago for 1850. It was near mint. Mine is in very good condition, with some discoloration on the white label, ( the stains of time and being in a box with other records for 50 years) so I am asking less for this one. It looks good, I don't see any scratches or flaws..........it's straight........
Someone asked me where I got the record. I was living in Los Angeles from the early 60's. On Saturday mornings. A couple of the local Television stations had Saturday morning Dance parties, anyone could come, they had Disc Jockeys, people danced, and it was broadcast in Southern California. ( sort of a mini American Bandstand). So one day the DJ played the song "Anna", I was somewhat friends with them, and he said " be here next week, and after I play it one more time, I'll give it to you".I think his name was Bob Eubanks, and he was also the main host at the nightclub " Cinnamon Cinder".
I do not buy and sell records. I'm now 76 and it's time to let go of my records. I also have other records on ebay.price rating
