Grading Records:
The records I sell are all in used condition and it is unlikely that it any will be un-played as most are from personal collection. The photos within this advertisement are of the record actual I have offered for sale. I do not use stock images or previously used photographs.
This record has been checked visually both sides under normal daylight and under a strong spot lamp. Every record I sell has been checked for its audio quality playing through completely on both sides. I also check the vinyl is flat on a rotating turntable.
I grade all records using The Record Collectors grading system, visually grading the vinyl surfaces, labels, inner sleeve and cover, adding a single (+Plus) if I believe the quality is slightly better and I add a (- Minus) if slightly under.
The Record Collectors Grading System:
Mint: The Record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration with clean sounding audio quality. The cover and extra items are in perfect condition. Records that are sealed or un-played should be mint.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the audio quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and creasing.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable.
Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover suffers from folding scuffing of edges, and spine splits, discolouration etc.
Payment:
Payment is by paypal please.
Packaging and Postage Costs:
I use record mailers or cruciform type packaging with stiffeners depending on the record weight. Sometimes and depending on the condition of the original record inner sleeve a new poly-lined inner sleeve maybe used to house the vinyl record during postage, in any case I always send separated from the outer cover to decrease the likelihood of any damage occurring such as the vinyl cutting through to the sleeve.
I can offer combined postage for records, please contact me. I aim to dispatch within two working days of your payment, I will let you know that I’ve posted it.
