EXCELLENT CONDITION IN EVER ASPECT
The World Record Club (WRC) of New Zealand issued seven Beatles LP titles, five of which shared a common, sequential, catalogue designation and distributed on the Apple label. The five Apple-labelled titles were A Hard Day's Night (WRC E3111), Help! (WRC E3112), Rubber Soul (WRC E3113), Revolver (WRC E3114), and Abbey Road (WRC E3115). The WRC catalogue numbers were printed on the labels (above the standard EMI cat. number); but the sleeves were the regular retail version.
Offered for auction in this listing is a none too shabby (EX, actually) copy of the A Hard Day's Night (WRC 3111) New Zealand World Record Club pressing.
These WRC editions are so uncommon that the existence of some or all of the titles is unknown to a section of the NZ Beatles collector community.
CONDITION:
VINYL - EX with only the tiniest amount of evidence that the record has been played. One or two small marks where a finger has come into contact with the surface.
LABELS - EX+. No wear or spider-trails at or around the spindle of either label.
SLEEVE - EX. The pinch-spine bi-flapback sleeve is in EX condition overall. The sleeve bears the dual format NZ AHDN catalogue numbers (PCSM 3058 and PMCM 1230). NO writing or stickers; NO seam splits; NO feathering of side opening. The flapbacks are tightly affixed. Spine text is clear and fully legible. The negatives (which stop me from grading the sleeve EX+), are, 1) a tiny bump/crease across the 'B' of BEATLES on the spine, which extends a few mm onto the front and back of the sleeve, and, 2) a small amount of age-related spotting to part of the back-sleeve, and, 3) the slightest amount of ringwear on the rear of the sleeve.
