Description

Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - A Hard Day's Night' 1964 FIRST STEREO PRESS crossover vinyl LP.
This particular pressing features a very rare 'font crossover'! The font and label style on Side 1 differs greatly from that on Side 2. This was just a variation and was still pressed in 1964 so it is still a genuine first UK stereo press! This label crossover isn't seen that much and doesn't come up for sale very often. It also comes with the original EMITEX inner sleeve and correct STEREO flipback sleeve. DO NOT MISS OUT!!!

Artist: The Beatles
Title: A Hard Day's Night
Catalogue Number: PCS 3058
Year: 1964
Number of Tracks: 13
Matrix Numbers: -1  -1
Mother Stampers: 2AP  1RA

Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - there are a few light hairlines and sleeve removal trails but nothing that I can feel or see that will cause any playback problems! Has a nice gloss and shine. Currently rated as VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT. Label is EXCELLENT-.                        Side 2 - same as Side 1 with a few more light, non-feelable hairline marks!

Audio: I have play-tested the first track on Side 1 and the first track on Side 2 ONLY! They both rate as EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+! Lots of clarity is present! Great punchy sound with crisp highs! Nice and loud with a great stereo sound. These two tracks play without any skips, sticks or jumps on my system! A great player so far. There is some crackle on the run-in but this record is that loud and punchy that it isn't noticeable when the music starts! DO NOT MISS OUT!!!

Inner Sleeve: The original EMITEX inner sleeve is currently in VERY GOOD condition! There is a 1" split to the right side but it's nothing and won't cause any issues to how the record is housed. There is some light rubbing and some discolouration. It's Nice and clean with no major issues!

Sleeve: The original 1964 stereo flipback sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition! The front retains a nice gloss and shine with some edge creases/rubbing and some laminate creases. All edges are intact with no splits or major damage. The rear of the sleeve has some discolouration and rubbing towards the opening edge. It is completely free from writing and graffiti apart from a really small 'E' in the bottom right (it's in pencil so should just rub out easily). The spine is 100% readable but has been pinched so it's on a slight angle. Overall, a sleeve that has seen better days but still houses the record very well and looks great!
DO NOT MISS OUT!!

PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES!!!

As with all the vintage records I sell, I advise a deep clean to enhance the sound quality of the record. Overall, a RARE 1964 STEREO Beatles record that everyone should own!
