Description
The Beatles, A Hard Day's Night.
1964 UK first pressing with 'The Parlophone Co Ltd' around the label and -1 matrix on both sides.
What makes this album stand out, compared to mono copies, is that it's stereo. Far fewer original stereo copies were made - and they are much harder to find today.
It also has fairly low stampers and 'chubbier' label text, all indicating an early copy of a first pressing.
It's not perfect, but certainly good for its age (now sixty years old!).
I'll give an honest a description as possible below, but please also the pictures as a guide:
The vinyl is good. There are quite a few light scratches to both sides, when held under direct light. The labels are very respectable, with a little ring wear evident, mainly to to side 2. The vinyl still retains a glossy sheen. The LP plays through fine without skips or jumps.
The Emitex inner sleeve is original. It is a bit creased (not unusual for these fragile inners) but has no splits or tears.
The cover is good, though with some signs of wear to the spine and opening side.
This is a copy which has been listened to, but pretty well cared for over the years. Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve.
The side 1 matrix is YEX 126-1, with stampers 2/RR
Side 2 matrix is YEX 127-1, with stampers 2/GP
Postage is UK based, second class signed.
Thanks for looking - and happy bidding.
