***THE BEATLES***
ABBEY ROAD ALBUM COVER
***OFFICIAL APPLE CORPS/FRANKLIN MINT***
!!! VERY RARE LIMITED EDITION ITEM !!!
Excellent Superb Mint Condition Figurine produced by Franklin Mint under licence from Apple Corps and still with it's Original Glass Dome/Jar is this superb Porcelain 3D diorama figurine of The Beatles much loved 1969 album Abbey Road.
The figurine features John, Ringo, Paul and George crossing the pedestrian crossing just opposite the Abbey Road studios which is where the Fab 4 recorded many of their famous and much loved albums under the guidance of their producer Sir George Martin.
The Figurine is superbly detailed and hand painted and available for just a short time during 1995. The original idea was that there would be a total of six of the these iconic album covers rendered in porcelain and available every five weeks or so through a subscription service.
This was the third of six in the series after 'Sgt. Pepper' and 'Help' and due to the high cost of each of the figurines most subscribers started to cancel between the second and fourth issue.
The figurine stands approx. 11cm in height and 9.5cm in diameter at the base and comes with it's original glass crystal dome which makes the item approx.13cm in height.
Due to the delicate nature of this object it's not too uncommon to see these damaged in some way shape or form.
This however is in Superb Mint Condition!
Please take a look at what else I have for sale on eBay.
