Lovely clean and unmarked vinyl .
Original 1979 Limited Edition BY APPLE RECORDS.
Does come with inner original film sleeve protector.
Tested and played .....no jumps or background hiss.
These are selling here and on other sites for around 100 pound.
A nice, copy of a somewhat scarce picture disc.
Background: Picture discs were proving to be quite popular in the late 1970s, so record companies around the world began issuing older and then-new titles in that format as limited editions.
Among the titles issued was Abbey Road by the Beatles, which was released as a picture disc in the United States, Japan, and Holland. The U.S. and Japanese issues were virtually identical – a custom cover with swirling colors and a disc showing the photo from the front cover of the album.
The Dutch issue was different, with the cover being identical to the regular release. The photo on the disc, however, was a composite showing parts of both the front and the back cover. These were exported and were were widely available in U.S. record stores when new.
