Description
THE BEATLES: Abbey Road. Misaligned Apple. No Her Majesty. 1st Press 749-2/750-1. Original black one window inner sleeve. Superb audio.
1 MOTHER/STAMPER SIDE 2.
PLAY TESTED SEPTEMBER 25th.
EXCELLENT AUDIO.
Absolutely superb audio, minimum excellent. Absolutely no skips, jumps or sticking. Barely a crackle, pop or click to be heard. Even the very quiet sections, eg the run in to ‘Her Majesty’, is as close to silent as you’d get on a 50+ years vinyl. The audio is that good, I was tempted to keep it for myself, but frankly, I really don’t need another copy of my favourite Beatles album.
Appearance.
Vinyl has the signs of play you’d expect from a 50+ year old record. Light hairlines/marks etc, but certainly nothing heavy/feelable. VG+
The labels are beautifully clean, with next to no spindle ware (a little visible under angled light), and are free of marks/graffiti. Excellent.
Comes with the original black one window inner sleeve, that only the first pressings had. It has a small seam split to the top left, (window side), and a small split to top left seam from the reverse view. VG
The original first press fully laminated G&L sleeve has the all important ‘misaligned Apple’. There is some minor creasing/shelf ware to corners, and may well have had some tape repair to the bottom edge (not by me). It has a wonderfully strong, clean, clearly legible spine. VG+.
