THIS 16-SONG ALBUM OF DIFFICULT TO FIND (IN 1979) SONG VERSIONS TITLED "COLLECTORS ITEMS" WAS UNOFFICIALLY RELEASED IN 1979 RIGHT BEFORE CAPITOL RELEASED THE OFFICIAL VERSION OF THE "RARITIES" ALBUM.
THIS ALBUM HAS BEEN WIDELY WRITTEN ABOUT & DETAILED IN NUMEROUS INTERVIEWS WITH PREVIOUS CAPITOL EMPLOYEES. IT'S A VERY WELL KNOWN FACT THAT ALL OF THE ORIGINAL ARTWORK & DESIGN MATERIALS USED TO CREATE THE COVER FOR THIS "COLLECTORS ITEMS" LP CAME DIRECTLY FROM THE ART DEPARTMENT AT CAPITOL RECORDS.
IT'S VERY EASY TO SEE THE INCREDIBLE PACKAGE DESIGN OF "COLLECTORS ITEMS" IS SIGNIFICANTLY HEAD OVER HEELS ABOVE THE OFFICIAL "RARITIES" RELEASE.

THE "COLLECTORS ITEMS" FRONT COVER IS A VISUAL INTERPRETATION OF THE ALBUM'S TITLE. THIS WONDERFUL COLLAGE OF RARE, HARD TO FIND BEATLES MEMORABILIA IS GREAT TO LOOK AT.

NOW OVER 45-YEARS LATER, THE "COLLECTORS ITEMS" LP IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN THIS VERY RARE & BEAUTIFUL SEALED CONDITION. IF YOU'VE NEVER OWNED A COPY OF "COLLECTORS ITEMS", YOU ARE MISSING ONE OF THE MOST CREATIVE & INTERESTING COVERS EVER CREATED FOR A BEATLES ALBUM, OFFICIAL OR UNOFFICIAL PERSONALLY, HAVING DESIGNED A NUMBER OF ALBUM COVERS OVER THE YEARS, IT IS UNBELIEVABLE TO ME WHY CAPITOL CHOOSE NOT USE THIS CLEVER CONCEPT OR AT LEAST A DIFFERENT VERSION OF IT FOR THE OFFICIAL "RARITIES" RELEASE. INSTEAD, CAPITOL CREATED & RELEASED ONE OF THE WORST, LEAST CREATIVE & BORING DESIGNS EVER TO GRACE A BEATLES ALBUM.

THE SHRINK-WRAP IS VERY NICE WITHOUT ANY TEARS OR CUTS.
THE VINYL & LABELS WHICH ARE STILL SEALED INSIDE THE COVER WOULD GRADE AS MINT.
THE RECORD JACKET DOES HAVE A COUPLE OF CORNER BUMPS WHICH CAN CLEARLY BE SEEN IN THE PHOTOS, SO I COULDN'T GRADE THE COVER ANY HIGHER THAN MINT-

THIS LP WAS PART OF A LARGE COLLECTION I PURCHASED ABOUT 35 YEARS AGO. I HAVE BEEN A COLLECTOR OF BEATLE ITEMS SINCE 1969. IN ADDITION, I'VE SPENT MOST MY CAREER (1971 TO 2004) IN THE RECORD BUSINESS IN DIFFERENT EXECUTIVE POSITIONS. A LARGE PORTION OF MY PERSONAL COLLECTION: AUTOGRAPHED GUITARS (26), GOLD RECORDS (18) SIGNED POSTERS (10) AND OTHER RARE BEATLES & OTHER ROCK ITEMS WERE SOLD BY HERITAGE AUCTIONS OVER THE PAST YEAR & A HALF.

SHIPPING DETAILS All Records are 1st Placed Into a Thick PVC Sleeve Before Carefully Securing the Item in New Corrugated or Bubble-Wrap Material Before Packing in New Strong (200 Lb Burst Test) Corrugated Mailers Specially Made for LP or 45 Shipments. Before Packing, Records are Always Removed from Opened LPs or Picture Sleeves and Placed in a Protective Poly-Lined Sleeve so the Record is Never in it's Cover During Shipment to Insure There are no Seam Splits Caused by the Record During Shipment. I Use Only New Corrugated Mailers and Packing Materials With a 200 Lb Burst Test Requirement. -There is Nothing Worse Than Finally Receiving the Item You've Been Waiting for to Only Find it Was Destroyed in Shipping Due to the Use of Sub-Standard Materials or a Sloppy Job of Packaging Was Done by the Seller.

Please note: The $6.00 cost only covers a portion of my total Priority Mail & Shipping Materials & Handling costs. Actual postage runs around $9.00 and then there is my cost of new packing materials, time & labor. I gladly pick up the difference to make sure your item is delivered quickly and safely.

2. International Shipping details & how customers are invoiced for International Shipment:

-$6.00 cost for Priority shipping & handling is for your item to quickly arrive at the eBay International Distribution Center. This assures your package will be received at the International Center with-in 2 days for a quick turn-around to your foreign destination. Normally, once items arrive at the center they are usually turned around and sent out to your destination within 24 hours.

-The cost of foreign postage & the documentation fees will also be on your invoice. When you pay the total invoice amount, the International shipping & documentation fees detailed on your invoice are automatically sent to the eBay International Shipping Center. I receive no part of that cost.

3. I apologize for the significantly higher postage costs for International customers. The US post office recently implemented the highest International postage rate increase in history, roughly 40%.

I realized after it was too late to revise the photos that photos of the LP pictured in this auction are from a previous auction I sold a couple weeks ago. The copy of COLLECTORS ITEMS in this auction is actually in better condition than the one shown in the photos because on this copy there is zero yellowing on the cover rear. Lastly as noted in the points above, there are zero tears in the shrink wrap of the current auction item.

I did save my most beautiful copy of this gem for last. Your satisfaction is guaranteed or your money gladly refunded. I am very embarrassed about my mistake and I sincerely apologize for this error. Please let me know if you wish to have photos of the current auction sent to you and I will immediately do so. You will be very happy with what you see - Jeff
