I have done extensive research on this one, most notedly at Discogs and "Beatles UK LPs Identification Guide. I have made every effort to be accurate and believe that I am. Let's go: From December, 1964, this is Parlophone PCS 3062, The Beatles, "Beatles For Sale." Original British STEREO Press. Gatefold cover is rated VG++. Disc played on my stereo at VG++ also. All confirmed from multiple sources: Released in a gatefold sleeve that opens from the inside and horizontal flipback in the centre. First press. Black/yellow labels with silver lettering. "The Parlophone Co. Ltd." printed at the start of perimeter print. "Recording first published 1964" and "Sold in U.K. subject..." text, This is for original pressings only with track A7 title as just "Kansas City (Lieber-Stoller). Later pressings had to be retitled for legal reasons. The original LP sleeve and the label listed the song as "Kansas City." Attorneys for Venice Music complained and the record label was revised in later pressings. Matrix/Runout Side A YEX 142-1 and Side B YEX 143-1. Matrix runout of label A YEX.142 and Label B YEX.143.
