Vinyl: SEALED! MINT! This is the REMASTERED Album of the 1965 Height-Of-Beatlemania Classic! Wildly popular when originally released, this Version comes from Digital Remasters which had been created from George Martin's mixes. The truest mix to the Original intentions of The Beatles, these are the Definitive Statement on this, one of the most recognized Beatlemania Albums! This is the Soundtrack from the Movie, Help! and it follows the Original British Sequencing, giving you more songs and less filler (which is the disappointing reality of the U.S. version). This has the Original Tracks and Sequencing. This album gave us the Original Release of Iconic songs like the title song Help!, Ticket To Ride, John's first conscious nod to Bob Dylan on You've Got To Hide Your Love Away and of course Yesterday, perhaps the Greatest Pop Song (and The Beatles' most covered song!) The Height of the British Invasion! allmusic gives it 5 Stars!!!

Cover: SEALED! MINT! (see photos) Nice high gloss on cover. Front and back of cover artwork and text are rich, clear and bright, essentially flawless. Seams, corners and spine are solid and clean, essentially flawless. Shrink is perfectly intact. No splits. No writing. Spine print is crystal clear. The record appears straight; when I look with one eye down all 4 edges there's no big, ominous bow that would suggest that it's warped.
I will gladly accept the return of Sealed records as long as they have not been opened (i.e. as long as they are still in the condition I sent them in). Every record has a "fingerprint" of imperfections in the seal and/or the cover and I separately photograph and keep these details to prevent fraudulently returned items...yep, there are a few rotten apples out there!) I will not accept a previously sealed record that has been opened, even if the complaint is that the record is warped. This is why I look down the edge of all 4 sides of the record, to assess for potential bowing. Look for that in the description of the covers of all my Sealed items. Thanks! By the way, I've never (knock on wood!) had a buyer complain that they received a warped Sealed record. :)

Why buy a first or early pressing and not a re-issue or a ‘re-mastered’ vinyl album? First and early pressings are pressed from the first generation lacquers and stampers. They usually sound vastly superior to later issues/re-issues (which, in recent times, are often pressed from whatever 'best' tapes or digital sources are currently available) - many so-called 'audiophile' new 180g pressings are cut from hi-res digital sources…essentially an expensive CD pressed on vinyl. Why experience the worse elements of both formats? These are just High Maintenance CDs, with mid-ranges so cloaked with a veil as to sound smeared. They are nearly always compressed with murky transients and a general lifelessness in the overall sound. There are exceptions where re-masters/re-presses outshine the original issues, but they are exceptions and not the norm. First or early pressings nearly always have more immediacy, presence and dynamics. The sound staging is wider. Subtle instrument nuances are better placed with more spacious textures. Balances are firmer in the bottom end with a far-tighter bass. Upper-mid ranges shine without harshness, and the overall depth is more immersive. Inner details are clearer. On first and early pressings, the music tends to sound more ‘alive’ and vibrant. The physics of sound energy is hard to clarify and write about from a listening perspective, but the best we can describe it is to say that you can 'hear' what the mixing and mastering engineers wanted you to hear when they first recorded the music.

[-]Considering that Help! functions as the Beatles' fifth album and as the soundtrack to their second film -- while filming, they continued to release non-LP singles on a regular basis -- it's not entirely surprising that it still has some of the weariness of Beatles for Sale. Again, they pad the album with covers, but the Bakersfield bounce of "Act Naturally" adds new flavor (along with an ideal showcase for Ringo's amiable vocals) and "Dizzy Miss Lizzy" gives John an opportunity to flex his rock & roll muscle. George is writing again and if his two contributions don't touch Lennon and McCartney's originals, they hold their own against much of their British pop peers. Since Lennon wrote a third more songs than McCartney, it's easy to forgive a pair of minor numbers ("It's Only Love," "Tell Me What You See"), especially since they're overshadowed by four great songs. His Dylan infatuation holds strong, particularly on the plaintive "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" and the title track, where the brash arrangement disguises Lennon's desperation. Driven by an indelible 12-string guitar, "Ticket to Ride" is another masterpiece and "You're Going to Lose That Girl" is the kind of song McCartney effortlessly tosses off -- which he does with the jaunty "The Night Before" and "Another Girl," two very fine tunes that simply update his melodic signature. He did much better with "I've Just Seen a Face," an irresistible folk-rock gem, and "Yesterday," a simple, beautiful ballad whose arrangement -- an acoustic guitar supported by a string quartet -- and composition suggested much more sophisticated and adventurous musical territory, which the group immediately began exploring with Rubber Soul.
