Description
Up for auction is a album of THE BEATLES classic debut 'Introducing...The Beatles'
Album was released on Vee Jay in the US as VJLP 1062 in early 1964!
Definitely a first US pressing and not a re-issue, or bootleg, of any kind!!!
This is the 'Version 3' MONO pressing with Black label and Silver Print Vee-Jay / VJ "Block" capitalized label logo and a deep/ indented groove.
Back cover has the three columns and titles centered and a comma in "Please, Please Me".
The etched matrix numbers in the deadwax are:
Side 1: 63-3402
Side 2: 63-3403 / Triangle 6307X / 'MR' Scratched Out in A Circle
The matrix numbers correspond with the Monarch US Version 3 pressing
Back cover and label have no comma in Please Please Me. This version also does not have "P.S. I Love You" at the end of Side One --
Also includes its original factory VJ sleeve with "Other Fine Albums Of Significant Interest" on one side, and "The Great Gospel Artists Are On VJ" on the other side.
Condition:
LP is in visual VG- (Very Good minus) Grade condition with an amount of scratches. Most are light, with a handful of feel-able marks.
Playgrades at VG/VG+ mostly with the no skips or jumps. There are some light clicks, and a few light pops heard on a few of the tracks on Side 1, and again on a couple of tracks on Side 2 that are not too distracting.
This is still a pretty decent and pleasant sounding player copy!
Album Cover is in overall well preserved condition with a legible spine and no seam splits!
There is a staple marking at top along with some creases in that same area. The back has a slight tear on the overlay.
The original VJ factory inner sleeve is decent condition with one side split about 3 inches.
