VERY rare absolutely 1st issue on dark red wine Parlophone - The so-called INDACO label.

This is the very first issue of the first Italian Beatles album on the dark red Parlophon label; this has always been called "indaco" though this is a bit of a nonsense since indaco is a shade of violet and not of red...anyway we call it like this! Unfortunately absolutely not the best copy hence the low and no-reserve starting price. Please read description carefully.

Primissima emissione del primo album dei Beatles su etichetta rosso scuro della Parlophon, la cosidetta etichetta rosso indaco. Purtroppo non si tratta assolutamente di una copia perfetta, di qui il basso presso di partenza, ovviamente non c'è riserva!

CONDITIONS:

The cover does not sport very heavy defects except for the fact that it is not laminated. I don't know why, could it be the very very first press? Apart from this we have some ring wear (see photo) and a minor damage alongside the spine on back cover. The spine itself is only vg- though I can't see any real splits. Also there's a light shadow on George's face.

IMPORTANT: It is not easy to show on the monitor the real colour of the label, anyway it is the dark plum one and not the bright flat red of the later issues!!

La copertina non ha difetti clamorosi tranne che non è laminata.C'è del ring wear sulla copertina (vedi foto) ed un accenno di danno lungo la costa sul retrocopertina (vedi foto) Il dorso è anche solo vg- ma nessuno dei tre lati è spaccato o presenta aperture. Una piccola ombra sul volto di George.

IMPORTANTE: non è facile far apparire sul monitor il vero colore dell'etichetta, comunque questa è la prima stampa color rosso prugna scuro e non quella rosso chiara posteriore.

RECORD: strong GOOD+

First thing to say, it is play tested and plays with no skips or jumps. Even more you can still "enjoy" the songs since the recording is so loud that the background noise is covered by the music. Of course you HAVE background noise, the record have been played quite a long and has many signs of the age though none is so deep that I can "feel" it with my finger!

Il disco suona assolutamente senza salti o ripetizioni, l'ho provato personalmente dunque non è un giudizio "a vista". Ovviamente è stato suonato molto e a lungo, presenta diversi segni, nessuno dei quali, peraltro, sensibile al tatto. Si tratta, comunque di una registrazione di qualità eccezionale (i Parlophone Italiani dei Beatles in questo si distinguevano) ancora godibile con un fruscio costante, indubbiamente presente ma non prevalente sul suono.
