ORIGINAL 1970 3U/ 3U STEREO PRESSING


Sleeve: 
The sleeve is in Very Good condition, retaining its rigidity and structure. The spine is completely intact with clear title text. The edges are smooth with no storage wear. The lamination is tight with a handful of surface creases and a couple of bubbles where the lamination has become separated from the card underneath. The corners are a little rubbed. No tears, no rips or repairs etc.


Inner Sleeve: Rarer type 1st issue inner sleeve issued with some Apple label LP’s. Contains the ‘Important Notice’ text. In Very Good condition. There is just one very small split along the middle section of the bottom seam where record meets edge, which has a small piece f invisible tape sealing it.

The Vinyl:  The vinyl has retained a jet-black glossy pressing sheen all over both sides. Under halogen light with the disc held at various angles it is immediately obvious that the record has been played but cared for well. There are no warps, scuffs, dinks, groove wear, no scratches, no hairlines which stand-out. The surfaces are clean and have retained their original lustre. At first glance it looks Excellent on both sides; only when taking a closer look with it held tilted under light does it reveal a fair amount of hairlines. Grades as a strong Very Good visually, it still plays Excellent.

The Labels: Like-new condition having no spindle line traces or spindle point wear. On side two there is an extremely rare pink ink line run which works really well actually against the Apple whites. I believe this would have been unique to this particular copy and perhaps a couple of others that were stamped around that particular instant. I’ve never seen this before on any other pressing.

The Audio: There are no detractions over the audio, barely any discernible deviation from the original audio quality. The audio is fundamentally Excellent with a few static tics which are only audible in some of the linking grooves between tracks and a few static tics which are audible on a few of the fade-out's. Original warm, clear and lucid sound projection with perfect stereo channelling. No jumps, pops, clicks, skips, background noise, sticks etc. Sounds fantastic.
