Description
THE BEATLES LET IT BE BOXSET- RARE AND COMPLETE 1ST PRESS 2U 2U PXS 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For sale is this wonderful example of the Beatles final album release 'Let It Be'. The boxset is 100% original parts (no replacements this is how you would have bought the album in 1970) complete with the original slip case cover, inner slip case, the book tray and the let it be album and the get back book, gradings (based on record collectors grading system) are as follows:
Orignal slip case cover grades as Very Good the cover has the odd bit on laminate creasing on the front and back but nothing particularly detremental to the cover appearance, no stains rips or tears etc.
The inner slip case grades as Very Good, no damage it has no rips or tears and still holds the book tray and record as it did 42 years ago!!
The book tray again grades as Very Good, its in undamaged condition.
The Let it be album grades as Very Good, the outer sleeve has very very slight laminate creasing but is an excellent example as is the white inner record sleeve, the record is in excellent condition and shines underneath the light without many marks the labels have no writing and limited spindle wear, to confirm this is in fact a first press record the catalogue number is Stereo PCS 7096 and the matrix numbers are Side 1 YEX 773-2U and Side 2 YEX 774-2U. The record cover also has the first press red apple on the flip side which was green on later presses.
The Get Back Book is also in Very Good condition with no rips tears marks or loose pages, their is a crease on the bottom right hand corner of the book which is minimal otherwise this would grade as excellent.
All in all I would grade this as a Very Good example of this increasingly rare 1st press and COMPLETE Let It Be Boxset, I have tried to grade the LP on the side of caution based on record collectors grading sytem below. the record will be sent in a secure parcel by Royal Mail Special Delivery within 3 days of a succesful payment, accepted payment method paypal only please bear this in mind when bidding. This is a UK only sale due to the delicate nature of the items and I'm looking to downscale my record collection so returns wont be accepted however if you do have any complaints (I really don't think you will I have 100% positive feedback) please email me and I'll be very happy to try and help if i can. If you have any questions regarding the boxset please email me and I'll be happy to help!
(I'm currently in the process of selling a number of 1st press beatles and other 60's records so be sure to check out my other items)
Starting price of £80 AND NO RESERVE!! - Good Luck to all bidders!!!
Record Collectors Grading System
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc..
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
