Description
Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Let it Be' 1970 FIRST PRESS vinyl LP featuring the famous 'Red Apple' sleeve!
This particular pressing features the famous original first press sleeve with the famous Red Apple on the back. The only time the Red Apple was used on a UK pressing was when it was icluded with the Let it Be boxset. The album was then released on it's own with a green apple on the back. It also features First Press dark Apple labels and -2U -2U first press matrices. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS BARGAIN!
Artist: The Beatles
Title: Let it Be
Catalogue Number: PCS 7096
Year: 1970
Number of Tracks: 12
Matrix Numbers: -2U -2U
Mother Stampers: 16AR 6MT
Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - there are a few lightly feelable marks that may cause a few clicks and pops...shouldn't cause skips! Elsewhere, a nice shine but many hairlines and sleeve removal trails. Currently rated as GOOD+/VERY GOOD-. Label is EXCELLENT+. Side 2 - same as Side 1! Judging by the labels alone, this copy looks barely played but the playing surface tells another story.
Audio: AUDIO GRADING TO FOLLOW!!!
I have supplied a BRAND NEW plack poly-lined inner sleeve!
Sleeve: The original RARE RED APPLE sleeve is currently in VERY GOOD condition! The front still retains a nice gloss and shine but has some rubbing wear to the opening edge. It also has some laminate creasing and light ringwear. There is a 1.5" (approx) split to the bottom edge. The rear of the sleeve has some light ringwear, a nice gloss with some light creasing in places. It also has some rubbing to the edges but nothing too extreme. The spine is 100% readable but has been pinched fairly flat. Overall, an original rare Red Apple sleeve that houses the record very well.
PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES!!!
As with all the vintage records I sell, I advise a deep clean to enhance the sound quality of the record. Overall, a RARE Let it Be record that everyone should own!
