Description
Hi, and welcome to psych_out! auctions!!!
I've collected 50's, 60's, and early 70's records of almost every genre - Psych, Prog, Psychedelic Funk, Soul, Rhythm 'n' Blues, Pop, Folk, Garage, Acid, Freakbeat, Rock, Jazz e.t.c and everything in between for all my life!!! Obviously, 90%+ of the LP's i've ever gotten hold of are completely trashed from the hard living ways and the rock 'n' roll, drug and booze fuelled debauchery of all the wild parties of the times, but the golden 10%? Reluctantly, i've decided to offer them to all of you serious record collectors out there!!! I'm currently trying to set up a record label so unfortunately personal sacrifices have to be made when it comes to my collection, resulting in GREAT benefits for all you shrewd bidders and serious connosieurs of TRUE solid gold music history out there!!! Make no mistake, i'll try my best to consistently offer some of the VERY BEST records available on ebay, many which have taken me YEARS to find!!!
I aim to put a weekly batch up (time permitting) every wednesday, all timed to end 10 days later on saturday night. I'll only ever offer THE BEST, MOST AMAZING, MOST IMPORTANT, VERY RAREST UK 1ST PRESS ORIGINAL RELEASE RECORDS i've got!!! I won't insult you with later 2nd pressings unless they are of exceptional quality and rarity. I'm sure you love good music as much as me, especially when it's a 1st Press LP, direct from the master tape, as the musicians intended it to be heard (none of this "digitally remastered", weak reissued, remixed rubbish from hired hands with one eye on the mixing desk and the other on the clock! If these session men really knew how genius should sound, surely they would've been geniuses themselves?! There will only ever be one Hendrix, and that's just a tiny example).
I try to be one of the best sellers on ebay and would like to thank all of you potential bidders for your support and taste in music!!! I strictly grade all LP's I list, visually and sonically using the UK RRPG standards as customer satisfaction is highly important to me, and i'll always do my very best not to let you down. Be sure to add me to your favourite sellers list and check my auctions frequently as i'll be listing some gems that you just WON'T want to miss out on!!!
I think that's everything, so let the auction commence!!!
Title : The Beatles - Let It Be Box SetLabel & year : Original Apple PCS 7096 LP Box Set , OUTRAGEOUSLY RARE Stereo 1971 UK Export!!!
Matrix's : Side A : YEX 773-3U , Side B : YEX 774-3U (EASILY the best sounding pressing!!!)
INCREDIBLY RARE UK Export Box Set!!! Most people don't even know this exists!!! The LP was pressed in absolute miniscule amounts in 1971 for export to europe (as indicated by the Parlophone box on the back of the LP sleeve), and it was paired off with an absolute TINY amount of remaining box set stock Apple had left over from the previous year (of course, there was only ever one press of the lavish box set)!!!
Now I could easily have paired this off with a 2U 2U red Apple LP, however I didn't want to deface an important historical artifact, and FAR more importantly, the 3U 3U has BY FAR the best sound out of ALL the early Let It Be pressings (the 2U 2U is horribly mastered, WAY too compressed, and quite frankly sounds pretty horrible)!!! THIS was the pressing where they finally got it sounding truly majestic, and the 3U 3U is BY FAR the very rarest set of matrixes for this LP ever!!! (they simply hardly EVER turn up!!! Only the lesser sounding 2U 2U, 2U 3U, and 3U 4U's do!!!)
And if that wasn't enough, this is in absolutely OUTSTANDING condition and EASILY the best i've EVER seen!!! UTTERLY STUNNING!!! The box is 100% intact for once and in FANTASTIC shape, and the Get Back book looks as though it's scarcely been read with absolutely NO pages loose or missing, the vinyl sleeve has next to no ageing whatsoever, and the record itself has barely seen a turntable!!!
You don't need me to explain just how difficult it is to find this electric piece of music history, so I guess i'll just leave it at that!!! Don't miss out on this ONE OFF example, you may seriously NEVER get the chance again!!!
About : Ultra Rare Original 1971 UK Export!!! This MASSIVELY RARE LP initially sold barely anything (LP's were also really expensive to most people back then!!!) and therefore had a very small run, and is INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND, especially in this condition!!! AN absolute classic LP from this incredible band!!! An astonishing album that really DESERVES to be in EVERY serious 60's / 70's record collection!!! Don't miss out on this MEGA RARE LP!!! If you like good music, bid now!!!
The LP :
Labels :
Classic UK Original 1971 Apple labels!!! Both sides are OUTSTANDING with NO real signs of age, NO graffiti, and NO writing OR tears whatsoever!!! Just has an absolutely TINY amount of ultra light spindle marks which suggests that this has barely been played at all!!! IMPOSSIBLE for a 40 year old record!!! Both must grade overall at least as Excellent+!!!
Record : Visual -
Spectacular Original UK 1971 Export Vinyl!!! Nice bright, clean and shiny as if it was just pressed!!! Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks ASTONISHING with NO nasty marks, NO scuffs, NO scratches, NO fingerprints, and NO groovewear whatsoever!!! The only blemishes off TRUE perfection are only a TINY amount of ULTRA light, wispy sleeve traces (only visible in mega strong angled light) from where it has sat or been removed from it's cover over the years!!! Of course, none of these ULTRA light blemishes interfere with play AT ALL!!! Many probably wouldn't even mention them!!! UNBELIEVABLE for a record of this age and rarity!!! You'll be amazed by how clean and unworn it is!!! Must grade overall visually at least as Excellent+!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me) Record : Audio - Thankfully, it plays AMAZINGLY with fantastic stereo seperation and clarity!!! It really sounds incredible with NO hops, pops, distortion, clicks OR sticks!!! Only like ALL records has the MEREST TOUCH of low level static in the rarest few and far between places such as the run in grooves and in maybe one or two of the silences between some of the tracks, but that's truly about it!!! A REVELATION FOR THIS LP!!! The music is TRULY crystal clear - It really does play with a CD-like near 100% black silence, but with that bass, clarity, depth and warmth you can only get from UK 1971 Apple vinyl!!! EVEN the quiet sections!!! Absolutely ESSENTIAL!!! INCREDIBLE for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall audiably at least as Excellent+++!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me) Sleeve :Original UK 1st press Box Set in ASTONISHING condition!!! 100% complete with the laminated John Kosh G&L "patents pending" slip case (which only has some minor surface rubbing from sitting between sleeves and just a tiny amount of light creases to show from it's 40+ years of existence!!! UTTERLY AWESOME and as strong as ever!!!), inner box (also in STUNNING condition and uncrushed for once with only a truly miniscule amount of creasing and just a touch of whitening to just one or two of the corner tips!!! NO tearing whatsoever - absolutely incredible, even more so when you take into account just how old and fragile this is!!!), the original inner tray (almost ALWAYS missing or damaged, or often even replaced by a modern replica!!! NOT the case here AT ALL!!! The ONLY blemishes are just two tiny little tears to the lower left and right joins from where it has supported the weight of the book for four decades (only to the face, not all the way, NOT torn on the lower wall and still ultra strong!!! I'll be sure to pack the book outside the sleeve because these box set trays are so very fragile - I suggest you take GREAT care of this outrageous piece of history), and last but not least, the AWESOME Get Back book (VERY heavy, and STUNNING condition!!! The only blemishes are just an absolute tiny amount of laminate creases and just some vague evidence of it taking a minor knock to the lower right corner at some point, resulting in just some very minor dog earing for just the first few pages, though it really is truly mild)!!! Overall, I would grade the box and all it's components as a whole, at least as Excellent!!! This one will be EXTREMELY hard to ever beat!!!
Of course, it includes the original G&L 1971 PPCS 7096 fully laminated Parlophone box sleeve complete with original inner!!! IMPOSSIBLE to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP!!! This one is NOT, and is quite simply UTTERLY AMAZING, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves!!! NO tears, NO splits, NO graffiti, NO ringwear, NO seam wear, NO edge denting, NO bad marks AT ALL, razor sharp openings and still ultra strong and solid after all these years!!! Only has possibly just one or two ULTRA light signs of ageing such as literally just one or two TINY ultra light pressing creases near the edges, just some storage whitening to the unlaminated tips at the top and bottom of the back (it's pretty much the ONLY thing which stops this being Near Mint) and POSSIBLY (just to be sure!!!) one or two other minor signs of age here and there, though nothing that really stands out to note at all!!! And that's truly about it!!! It's an utterly PHENOMENAL sleeve, and a TRUE rarity to find one in such outrageous condition as this - most have been virtually destroyed or are just about being held together, but not this one!!! It remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit and unspoilt, and even the spine remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit, and 100% readable!!! Must grade overall at least as Excellent+!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)
Summary : An utterly OUTRAGEOUS one off example of this STUNNING piece of INCREDIBLY RARE Beatles history - a truly classic Stereo UK 1971 Export boxset!!! Hard to find in ANY condition, but SERIOUSLY RARE TO FIND ONE AS PHENOMENAL AS THIS!!! YOU MAY NEVER GET THE CHANCE AGAIN, so don't miss out on this scarce opportunity to own a true piece of 60's/70's music history!!! Bid now!!!
Please take a look at all my other auctions for many other ultra rare classic LPs, and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Thanks again for looking, it's truly appreciated!! Cheers!!!I've realized that most countries have their own unique grading system. I base mine strictly on the UK RRPG grading system (occasionally with a + or a - to indicate the higher and lower ends of the grade, though I only use these if i'm having real trouble deciding!), so please check their chart for further clarity if you are unsure of what my grades mean. As a general rule, a mint record will be 100% perfect, an excellent record will be in fantastic clean condition with the occasional mild mark and minor use from the years, and a very good record will have noticeable, yet light visual markings and obvious signs of age and use, but will still remain clean with relatively light wear and will play fantastically well with plenty of life remaining in it. I very rarely offer records below the very good region unless they are of an EXCEPTIONAL rarity and playing quality...I hope this helps!
