THE BEATLES  -  ‘Let It Be’     LP     1970     UK     Apple  (PXS1) / PCS7096

‘Let it Be’ box set with the book; “The Beatles Get Back”, the black card tray and the outer laminated slip cover.    No apple promotional poster. 

LP in its original fully laminated sleeve with the red apple on the back. 

Very early matrix numbers;   YEX 773-2U  &   YEX 774-3U 

PXS1 catalogue number not listed anywhere on the outer packaging.  

With original white inner sleeve (patent nos 1,125,555). 

CONDITION:       STRICT  U.K. MAGAZINE  'RECORD COLLECTOR'  GRADING SYSTEM USED.  I aim to provide an accurate and honest appraisal of condition.  It’s in my best interests to do so.  I WANT YOU TO COME BACK.    All records are checked in good natural light and play tested IN FULL at a high volume on an original Technics 1210 MK2 turntable fitted with an Ortofon 2M Red stylus (tracking at 1.8g).    Used records are cleaned using a Moth vacuum record cleaning machine prior to play testing, unless condition deems unnecessary. 

Playing condition is, at its worst, GOOD but with some of the album playing better.   Plays with audible surface noise and crackle.  Some distortion in places on a couple of tracks.   Couple of sections with some audible consecutive pops.     Overall,  NO jumps  NO sticking. 

Visually the vinyl is graded as GOOD.   A number of easily visible marks/scuffs.  Some that just about feel to the touch.  

Labels are EX.   Spindle marks evident.   All text perfectly readable.    NO writing.   NO stickers.

LP Sleeve is in GOOD condition.   Structurally sound with no nasty seam splits.  Obvious edge/spine/corner wear.   Some creasing.   2cm tear on the back.    Small worn patch on front cover.   NO seam splits  NO writing  NO stickers. 

Book cover looks nice and neat with just some minor scoring and creases to the laminate.    Several pages are loose.   I have counted the pages and, including the front and back cover, there are 142 pages – so I believe that some are missing.  

Tray has obvious creasing and some tears – see photos.

Laminated outer slip cover has obvious creasing, tears and damage – see photos.

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or deface

POOR (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

BAD (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler
