I have collected records since I was very young, however Iincreasingly I have realised that I have far too many, and soI have been slowly trying to rationalise my extensive collection over the years, I have sold many major rarities over the years, from major BEATLES and 60s rarities, through PUNK and PROG ROCK, CLASSICAL and BLUES. Basically I've had alot of very rare records and in dribs and drabs have sold them off. I've never had negative feedback, and had many repeat customers. I will only post completely insured and tracked.
This week I'm selling lots of Beatles goodies amongst other stuff! So check them out!
The Beatles final album actually came from the "Get Back" project, recorded before their final fresh project together, "Abbey Road", but then shelved until 1970. Originally planned as a live recorded album "as nature intended", the film whilst touching at times, mostly is a sour document of the breakdown of a band and friendships. When it was finally revisited as a possible release, they brought in Phil Spector, and all of the overdubbed arrangements one might expect from such a collaboration. These arangements are often written about as being detrimental to the original music, but whilst it has to be admitted that this did take the project in a very different direction that the original plan, certain arrangements work very well indeed, particularly on some of the more ballad styled tracks. The very first runsof these came in a limited Box Set,with booklet and inner tray etc. This is one of those very rare survivors!
RECORD CONDITION: VG+, it is generally a beautiful record with only very withdrawl hairlines visible in striong,direct light, and if it weren't for a few very small more noticable marks near the beginning of the sides,this would comfortably be a strong EX-, but sadly a couple of these just produce a few ticks if you listen for them during play-back. Stillavery nice copy with very strong audio though! SLEEVE: VG+/EX-, I have watched many Let It Be Box sets sell over the years,and have come across a few myself, many have Red Apple Sleeves with 2U/2U matrices, but some (from genuine original owners) come with a Green Apple Sleeve,these always in what I've noticed, then have either a hybrid/crossover 2U/3U or a 3U/2U matrix. This is one such example, included is the package as it arrived to me (apart from the repro book tray and poster which I have added), from the genuine original owner, with a Green Apple Sleeve and 3U/2U matrices. It is in nice and crisp condition,lovely sheen front and back, with very minor handling wear, minor foxing on the non-laminated opening mouth edges and corners, nice crisp edges and perfectly legible spine. Very nice! RECORD LABELS: VG, Would be pretty damn perfect, but for a small abbrasion at about 10 o'clock on side 1 (please see photos),other than that, a beautiful lustre,with just very light spindle traces visiblewhenangled into strong,direct light. No further stains/rips/grafitti/abrasions! Apart from the small abrrasion mentioned above, really fresh!
SLIP TRAY: VG, very rare to find these, let's cover the negatives first! The top 1.5" of one of the front flaps is missing and there is a just over 1" tear further down on the same flap. There is a bit of handling on both front tabs other than that,but the fact that these stay present at all is amazing to me, anyone who has had dealings with these box sets will know what I meanwhen I say that,to suggest the fit is tight inside the outer slipcase is agross exaggeration! The wonderful part about this is that the top and bottom edges and the wholeback panel are in beautifully crisp condition,with barely any wear at all! If the winning bidder requests, I don't mind including a brand new repro slip tray along with this LP aswell. Just say before I post. 
BOOK TRAY: EX+ Brand New Reissue/Repro book housing POSTER: EX+ Again a reproduction,these weren't in fact included with most copies, and instead were sent out by Apple to dealers to advertise other Apple LPs, the fact that these are often found in Let It Be Box Sets,or one Box Reissues,might mean that Apple did put them inside the albums as they sent them out, but it could also be that they relied on the local dealers toinclude themat their own discretion.This would explain why they show up so rarely! Either way, I've included this one just so you can say you have an absolutely COMPLETE set!
BOOK: VG+, most amazing of all is that there are NO LOOSE PAGES AT ALL in this book. Those of you who have had these books will know how hard that is to find! There is a 1" tear half way up the front cover edge, and a small fold in the laminate on the bottom left-hand corner of the back sleeve, but other than that pretty damn crisp! Lovely spine, great printing, standard edition. OUTER SLIP: VG+, A strong one! Lovely crsip sheen to the front and back laminate, with just a little shelf-wear along the bottom edge. Apart from a 1cm nick,half way up the front right hand opening edge,the edges are miraculously well preserved (again I refer youback to HOW TIGHT A FIT these are! So take care when you're withdrawing the tray from the outer slip,so as to keep it in quite such lovely conditon!). All seams perfectly holding and strong,no tears or failings here (which again,is rare!).
All in all, a very nice set!
