This is the UK Original press of 'Let It Be' by The Beatles. This press is complete with the rare early 2U/3U matrix, dark green apple label, the original inner sleeve and laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve, still in its original shrinkwrap. Although UK record companies never actually sealed the records, HMV and other large retailers would shrinkwrap the records themselves.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl has a sensational high gloss with just a couple of very light marks on each side. On playing the sound is warm, vibrant and exceptionally clear. The dark green Apple label is stunning. The colours are bold and there is absolutely no wear or discolouration. The white is crisp and the green and black text sharp. There is no spindle wear, just a few hardly visible spider marks. It comes complete with its original white inner sleeve.
The laminated shrinkwrapped Garrod & lofthouse sleeve is in Near Mint condition. The laminate has a superb bright shine, the colours are vivid and the black is bold. The shrinkwrap is only open on one edge, otherwise it is completely sealed, solid and clean. The spine is firm with clear text and the whole sleeve feels extremely solid.
