Description
Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - A Collection of Oldies...' 1972 STEREO ridged CONTRACT UK pressing vinyl LP in overall VERY GOOD condition.
This particular pressing features the rarer 1972 'contract' grooved STEREO labels on both sides! It has a 'ridge' that runs around the abel, very close to the edge. Also, if you look closely at the back of the sleeve, you will notice that The Beatles all have blurry faces! There is also a red line, yellow line and a blue line around the edge of the main picture. I believe it has either been printed twice or printed out of alignment. VERY RARE! Not seen very often! DO NOT MISS OUT!!!
Artist: The Beatles
Title: A Collection of Oldies...
Catalogue Number: PCS 7016
Year: 1972
Number of Tracks: 16
Matrix Numbers: -1G -2
Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - there is one small feelable mark at the start of track 4. Not sure if it will skip but it doesn't feel too deep. It has a lovely gloss and shine! Rated as VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+. Label is EXCELLENT. Side 2 - same as Side 1 but without that feelable mark! EXCELLENT-! Lovely gloss and shine!
Audio: AUDIO GRADING TO FOLLOW!!!
PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE A FULL IN-DEPTH AUDIO GRADING!!
Sleeve: The original 1972 stereo sleeve is in EXCELLENT- condition! The front has a lovely gloss and shine, with some light laminate creasing towards the edges. The opening edge has a few very slight marks but no tears! The rear of the sleeve is nice and clean and white. Features that rare misprint on the back! The spine is 100% readable and slightly rounded. All clean, all edges intact, houses the record well - a great RARE sleeve!
PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES!!!
As with all the vintage records I sell, I advise a deep clean to enhance the sound quality of the record. Overall, a RARE Beatles sleeve variant that every collector should own!
