THE BEATLES

RUBBER SOUL

RARE ‘ONE BOX’ EMI LABELS

CAT. NO PCS 3075

Master Matrices YEX 178-3/ YEX 179-3

This is the rare 1969 Rubber Soul LP in an overall Mint Minus Condition.

This version is the rarest for the UK market due to the short-lived single bordered box displaying the EMI logo on a black background. It has the 2nd Stereo pressing -3/ -3 Matrix endings. It has early mothers/ stamper codes, and importantly it has Mint audio quality.

Sleeve: In Excellent condition retaining its rigidity. Correct 1969 E. J. Day 1969 thin card sleeve version. It is rare to find one in such a condition as this, with the front panel and rear panels having retained contrast and colour, unblemished besides a few laminate crease lines near front opening side, and a light scuff on the rear. The spine looks as new, there is no laminate splitting, and it covers over all edges with no bubbling, and no scuff wear to corners. No record ring-wear. Rear panel folds are clean and intact.
No handwriting, or marks or imprints.
Inner Sleeve: Original correct 1969 EMI advertising inner. Excellent condition. Completely intact with no splits etc.

The Vinyl: Near Mint condition. The surfaces are smooth and look completely groove wear free, unblemished pressing shine. The surfaces look remarkable with bare minimal plsigns of ever being played as viewed with the vinyl tilted angled under a direct light source. Completely smooth clean surfaces, with the pattern of the interwoven grooves visible which hold the propensity for the amazing Beatle psychedelic musical creation. No hairlines, scuffs, marks, warps or dinks. The item received careful use initially but was then put away, the vinyl removed from the original inner and held in an anti-static inner sleeve for most of the recent past.

Lays completely flat on the turntable, heavyweight late Sixties vinyl.

The Labels: Excellent condition. No immediately visible wear to the spindle perimeter, unless looked at close up in immense detail, just a few barely noticeable spindle location lines/ marks.

Mothers/ Stampers combinations:
Side 1 - 3 OO
Side 2 - 2 RM

The Audio: Reflected by the condition of the vinyl, an audiophile copy. Plays smoothly from start to finish on each side with immense detail and perfect Stereo channeling. This is a surface-noise free player with no interruption or defects of any kind over any audio. Even in the short interludes between track changes there is  hardly anything noticeable, and the standard probably can't be beaten by anything else. An superb sounding copy that is guaranteed not to disappoint.
