Original 1963 South African Parlophone PMCJ 1202 Mono LP with front laminated flipover sleeve 

Very hard to find original South African pressing  with the pre 1963 Parlophone label design -  Note that the sleeve  has the first issue 'Photo : Angus McBean' print to the right of the 'S' beneath "other songs" print - the same as the original issue UK sleeve

The labels have the first issue Dick James publishing credits

The top left corner of the sleeve has an EMI import sticker - the previous owner of the album lived for many years in Madagascar , where it was originally purchased ......

No mother / stamper

The Disc has mild use ....  bright surfaces .... just a few very light / faint  marks .... bright  labels , mild   spindle  use    .... The disc  plays  well , good  sound quality , mild lead in surface presence  : Graded at  VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT minus  condition.

The Sleeve has mild  use ....  bright  and clean .... nice laminate , very light ring impression ....  nice  spine and edges .... the rear panel is quite clean   : Graded at  VERY GOOD to  EXCELLENT minus  condition.

All items are graded Audio / Visually , and played on a high grade system

Please feel able to bid with confidence , as a collector myself I understand the requirements in the gradings of discs and sleeves , and how important it is to recieve items in the condition as advertised

I grade items ( using the UK Record Collector Grading System) beneath a light , to be sure of condition

I do not believe it is necessary to use the eBay buzzwords such as STUNNING !! RARE !! AWESOME !! , padded out with grossly long winded 'descriptions' ..... Many of the 'experts' who use this method of selling also add technical information , which is totally unfounded and does not correspond with the actual facts , and would be laughable but for the fact it is totally misleading. I take time and care to graded items correctly , and only list quality records , with concise , accurate grading descriptions

I have been a lifelong music fan , my first concert visit was in 1957 (Birmingham Town Hall Skiffle Contest !) and have bought records of all the great music since 1959 , and had the privelege of seeing most of the great artists 'live' ( I saw The Beatles twice and Segovia !)

I began selling professionally in 1976 , and have a wide knowledge of the items I sell (and always learning !) having bought copies of my own at time of issue , always being interested in the sleeve , label and disc variations. If you have any queries , I will do my best to answer correctly
