THE BEATLES - "PLEASE PLEASE ME" - VINYL LP
PARLOPHONE - PMC 1202 - MONO - 1963 UK PRESS
Original 4th mono pressing (issued in late 1963) of their classic debut album. Black & yellow Parlophone labels with the 'Recording First Published 1963' and 'The Parlophone Co Ltd...' label text and no 'Sold In UK' text.
Matrix numbers: XEX 421-1N / XEX 422-1N
1st issue laminated flipback Ernest J Day & Co Ltd sleeve with large mono logo in the corner and 'Photo: Angus McBean' credit in the bottom right corner, starting underneath the letter 's' of 'songs'. This is the original sleeve design that was used for the 1st press black & gold label issues.

CONDITION (vinyl/cover)
EX (a fantastic copy given its age, still with its full original gloss and with hardly any sign of play; under strong angled light there is minimal spindlemarking on the labels and the disc surfaces are shiny and show just some faint sleeve removal scuffs and the odd small light mark - there are no significant marks, scratches or wear; I listened to the record in full and can confirm it plays beautifully throughout with strong clear clean audio and no significant surface noise)
/ EX (the laminated flipback sleeve is a really nice solid example with just some light storage wear; it has a solid stiff shape and the front laminate is bright, glossy and virtually uncreased; all edges are sharp and unworn and the spine is straight and fully readable; the rear shows just some light storage wear; there are no tears, splits, writing or significant creasing - all in all a great example - see photos)
comes with its original polylined Emitex sleeve in VG condition (the owner has written their name and address as well as the date of purchase ('20-9-63') at the edges, which is a nice added touch of authenticity!)
