Description
THE BEATLES - "PLEASE PLEASE ME" - VINYL LP
PARLOPHONE - PMC1202 - MONO - 1963 UK ORIGINAL
14 songs - full tracklisting available upon request
Rare 3rd pressing (issued in summer 1963) of the boys classic debut album. Black & yellow Parlophone labels without the 'First Recording Published 1963' and 'Sold In The UK...' text - these labels were only in circulation for a very short time before the label design changed again and new text was added, so are quite hard to find.
Matrix numbers: XEX421-1N & XEX422-1N
Mothers/Stampers: 2/ML & 4/OG and with no tax code on the labels.
1st issue laminated flipback Ernest J Day & Co Ltd sleeve with 'Photo: Angus McBean' credit in bottom right corner of front, starting underneath the letter 's' of 'songs'. This is the original sleeve design that was used for the 1st press black & gold issues.

CONDITION (vinyl/cover)
GOOD+ (decent-looking used copy with a nice shine that visually grades VG with just some light surface wear and some light surface marks; there are no major marks or scratches. Plays very well throughout with strong clean audio for the most part, there's just a bit of mild sound deterioration which becomes top-end distortion toward the end of each side, however it never spoils the music and there's no jumps or sticks, no bad surface noise and no loud crackle)
/ GOOD+ (laminated flipback sleeve in decent solid VG shape with no tears, writing or significant creases; no splits to edges and spine is still fully readable; rear has some storage wear, hence the GOOD+ grade)
Comes with original tracing-paper lined Emitex sleeve
