Up for auction, I present the most stunning examples of Beatles black and yellow Parlophone lp’s that I have ever had the pleasure of seeing or briefly hearing. Most are the rare STEREO first pressings with the price text, along with a very rare second press of Please, Please Me. In fact, in twenty years of buying, selling, and collecting, these are the most well preserved lp’s that I have ever come across on any label, artist or genre. In each case, the lp’s are virtually flawless and after viewing them under extremely bright artificial light, or sunlight, it is clear they are free of any hairline marks, scuffs, discolorations or any other abnormalities. Even the label in nearly every case is perfect.

It is so rare when a used record can truly be called MINT, but these lp’s measure up to that grade admirably. These records were stored by a professional record dealer in a climate controlled room for forty years. Most of the labels do not have even an incidental spindle mark around the sound-hole and appear un-played. One or two have literally a single light mark around the sound hole on one side, but I could not show it very well in the pictures. The collection included most of the later psychedelic lp’s which I am not offering for sale at this time. But some very lucky individual is going to have the chance of owning a pristine copy of each of the first five U.K. releases in stereo format. In each case, the covers are in equally amazing condition with no tears, creases or bends, with all original coating in tact. Even the original Emitex sleeves are in fantastic shape, being at worst, slightly discolored in a few small areas, with some slight creases on a few of them.

Each one of these items is available to be shipped according to your needs, which may include double boxing at your request. I use only professional grade lp mailers for all of my shipping, and will supply a brand new rice paper sleeve to house the lp to insure the protection of the inner sleeve, outer sleeve and lp. As I said, for U.K. and other overseas customers (or within the U.S.) I will gladly double box these items if you wish to avoid damage, but do not want to insure the items due to customs. I have had many transactions with friends in the U.K. and will honor most requests, such as shipping an item as a “gift”. I am here to accommodate my customers so please feel free to ask questions, and understand that most every shipping method available will be made available to you.

Finally... Because these records are extraordinarily rare, particularly in this condition, I did set my new Clearaudio Virtuoso Wood cartridge down on the lead-in groove of both sides of every lp and allowed it to play for twenty seconds. In each case, the result was the same. An absolutely silent lead-in groove followed by some of the most amazing and perfect fidelity I have ever heard. It pains me to relinquish albums of this caliber because of money, but of course, that is why we are here. I will outline each lp in detail to include all matrix numbers as well as necessary credits or rarities so there is no confusion. My camera is not as nice as it should be for this purpose, and some pictures did not turn out as well as I would have liked. Please check my other auctions to get a good sampling of pictures, as currently, these five Beatles lp’s are the only auctions that I am offering.

THIS LP APPEARS TO BE UN-PLAYED. THERE ARE NO SPINDLE MARKS AROUND THE SOUND-HOLE, AND THE GLOSSY VINYL IS AS MINT AS IT WAS THE DAY IT WAS PRESSED. YOU CAN SEE MY DESK AND CHAIR REFLECTED IN THE PHOTO! TRULY A GORGEOUS COPY.

INCLUDES THE ANGUS MCBEAN PHOTO CREDIT ON THE FRONT COVER. LABEL HAS "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963" CREDIT ON BOTH SIDES. EXTREMELY RARE 1964 COPY IN ABSOLUTELY TOP CONDITION.

THIS LP HAS THE ERNEST J. DAY & CO. COVER AND IT IS EXCELLENT WITH EXTREMELY LIGHT CORNER WEAR AND VERY LIGHT SOILING (BARELY VISIBLE ON LEFT FRONT) AND ONLY A VERY SLIGHT MARK ON THE BACK, VISIBLE IN THE PICTURES.
