Description

For sale is a rare and very early Stereo copy of the Beatles debut album Please Please Me.


In early 1960s stereo copies were much rarer than mono.


This 4th press copy with the Recording First Published text but no ‘Sold in U.K…….’ Text on labels is a very early copy, pressed with the H (7th):stamper for side 1 and the M (4th) stamper for side 2. This suggests one of first 5000 stereo copies ever pressed.


Original Ernest J Day sleeve in VG intact condition. No splits or tears but corner wear and some creases.


Original use Emitex inner in VG+ condition


Record both sides is visually VG, with several scuffs and hairlines, but all superficial.


Sonically plays VG+, with minor crackles between tracks and in some quiet passages but nothing to interfere with a very pleasurable listen, No sticks skips or jumps.
