Description
A second Australian (1963) MONO pressing of The Beatles first album. Catalogue No. PMCO-1202 (XEX421). Label on the GOLD / BLACK limited design. On the run off grooves is the stamp XEX 421-IN (Side 1) & XEX 422-IN (Side 2).
I've listed item as acceptable BUT the record plays very, very well indeed. Some surface blemishes but no skips or jumps. I've played this album completely through. The MONO sound still is great. The acceptable rating is predominantly meant for the sleeve/cover, which has seen better days. The board used by EMi, at this time, is notoriously sub standard. Perhaps they weren't game to spend more money on an unknown group. The rest is, of course, mega music history. Sleeve/Cover has split open (see scan) but it is still complete. I'm sure it can be repaired by someone a bit more talented than me. Owners name is written on top border, front and back, and remains of original price sticker is on the front top right (see scans). A very good playable copy of this pressing is still reasonably rare. Will send securely and safely packed. Postage $12.00 anywhere in Australia. Any questions please ask.
