The Beatles - Please Please Me / Ask Me Why very rare Veejay 45 catalog number 498 with "oval" veejay logo and "Beatles" spelled correctly with one "T". this is the authentic highly collectible 1963 original Veejay pressing, not to be confused with the far more common later pressings with a different catalog number. a must have for any Beatles collector!
CONDITION:
disk is VG- to VG 

detailed description: light surface scuffs, both sides play through with no skips or annoying loud pops. general light background noise that does not overpower the loud music. "please please me" plays better, flip has a segment maybe 15 seconds long that is a bit noisy, maybe was played on a bad needle. still has some nice sheen to it. labels look great though there is one small rip on the A side as seen in pictures.
please note: due to my scanner not being so great, the color band on the labels looks like it has "dots" in it. it does not look like that in real life. the color band is nice and smooth, just like all other old veejay records.

GRADING:
M  a factory sealed record, or in rare cases an LP which was sealed and opened by our staff to check for any problems but is still unplayed and as perfect as LPs get.

NM close to mint possibly small cosmetic issue such as inaudible surface paper scuff from sleeve. will play flawlessly. usually unplayed or played a few careful times by a single careful owner.
 
EX very clean record that has been well taken care of but shows signs of careful use. minor flaw preventing NM grade. will still look near new with factory sheen. 

VG+ still an enjoyable sounding record but will have minor wear and possibly some lightly audible surface noise. well cared for and no skips, loud pops, or noise that overtakes the music.  Most collectors, especially those who want to play their records, will be happy with a VG+ record.

VG a filler copy, still plays through decently but possibly a loud pop or two and definitely with some surface noise. this grade and lower are rarely used. we will only list items this grade if it is rare or in some cases if it is a rare picture sleeve and the record is of secondary importance. 

G will play through but it won't be pretty.

P hey, at least you have an original copy! don't drop the needle on it though.
