Description
This is my original 1963 copy of the Beatles first album on the BLACK and GOLD Parlophone label,PMC 1202 in Mono. It is a 1st Pressing.The matrix numbers are XEX421-1N and XEX422-1N.The stamper code on both sides is the single letter H and the mother code is the figure 1.The Angus McBean photo credit on front cover is in the extreme right hand corner.The album cover is made and printed by Ernest J Day & Co Ltd. The Dick James publishing credits are shown on tracks 1,2,6,7,on side one and tracks 4,6,on side two.
The record itself is in excellent condition.There are no scratches or marks on either side and it plays without any clicks or pops.It is virtually "as new". The sleeve is in excellent condition.No tears ,marks or splits.The corners are still clean and sharp.The liner is the original "Emitex" one and is slightly discoloured by age.
This record has never been out of my possession since I originally bought it. I never took it to parties or lent it out. When played it was always put back in the liner and sleeve and never left out. Sad I know,but to me a record is something special and should be looked after.
