This is the 5th Mono press of 'Please Please Me' by The Beatles. The labels are Yellow & Black, with the 'Recording First Published' date. The record is complete with the laminated flipback Garrod & Lofthouse mono sleeve and the original Emitex polylined inner sleeve.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl is in sensational condition, it has only been played a handful of times. The grooves show no sign of wear and there is just one small mark and a couple of the very lightest wispy marks. The vinyl still has the like new jet black finish and very track gleams. It lies completely flat on the turntable. There is the slightest noise at the intro and a tiny click on a tiny mark otherwise the sound is without doubt one of the finest we have heard. Extremely bold and clear throughout. It still has the wonderful early heavy vinyl vibrant, complete sound.
The earliest yellow and black Parlophone label is also superb. The black is bold, the yellow is bright and the text is sharp. There is just the very slightest spindle wear. The record is complete with its original Emitex polylined inner sleeve.
The laminated flipback sleeve is in Excellent condition. The colours are bold, the laminate has a stunning bright mirrored shine and the picture is extremely clear. There is a little corner wear and the unlaminated back has the just slightest discolouration, but it really is extremely bright. The flipbacks are sealed and complete, the text is sharp and the black is bold. The spine is firm with clear black text on a clean white background.
