Description
THE BEATLES - Please, Please Me (Parlophone PCSO 3042)
Cover is VG (small damage near spine and general light wear).
Vinyl is VG (some small marks which have no effect upon sound quality - which is EX).
The cover is an original 1st Stereo pressing with the original Black & Gold Stereo sticker (used from 1964 - 1966). It has blue print instead of black print because, apparantly, blue ink was cheaper than black ink in the 1960's.
The vinyl LP itself plays loud and clear - which is pretty amazing for a 1st pressing (because stylii in the 1960's were quite heavy and the recommended setting was something like 9 gms).
I am hearing some slight crackle between tracks and that is really the only fault in playback. No clicks or pops during the songs.
This is a really good original Australian copy which looks VG+ but plays at least EX.
Matrix Nos. YEX 94-1 & YEX 95-1
BTW: Stereo was not as popular as Mono in the 1960's. Original Australian Black & Silver Banner or Scroll Stereo LPs were only pressed for 5 years (1964-1968). In 1969 EMI Australia changed to the UK 1 Box EMI label but used an orange label with black print instead of the black & silver label used by the UK. I know this because I visited record shops when I was a kid and back then you could check the labels as LPs weren't sealed.
Postage is at cost (both within Australia and Worldwide) and combined postage is fine.
NB: 3 x LPs can usually be sent for the cost of 2 x LPs.
Nice to know there's an early bid - which means this LP will definitely sell to the highest bidder. If that is you, Bidder 1, then congratulations.
