The Beatles 1st mono press LP, with Dick James music credits and black and gold Parlophone record labels.
Record no: MONO PMC 1202, titled: Please please me. Dated 1963. Matrix nos: XEX 421-1N & XEX 422 1N.
Songs are: I saw her standing there, Misery, Anna (go to him), Chains, Boys, Ask me why, Please please me...................Love me do, P.S. I love you, Baby it's you, Do you want to know a secret, A taste of honey, There's a place and Twist and shout.
The outer E J Day laminated flipback sleeve (Angus McBean credit is not right in the corner, slightly later satge sleeve) is in excellent condition, with just a little light ringwear to the edges (not much), the edges have the odd small and light crease, the corners have a touch of light knocking, the rear bottom flipback has a little light wear and there is a small initial to the rear top edge, this is still nice and clean, with good solid edges, all flipbacks intact, no major creasing, a clean rear and has a good readable spine.............................The vinyl is in excellent condition, with some light signs of play, has a few light surface marks, a few light surface scratches and there is a light scuff mark across three tracks on the A side (does not effect play) and I have cleaned and played this and the A side plays really well with just very light and very occasioanl background crackle (difficult to hear, sounds great) and the B side also plays really well except for slightly more background crackle to the 1st half of "Love me do" and has the same to the beginning of "P.S. I love you", this does not stick or jump in any way and is a really nice example and this still has a really good sheen, the Parlophone record labels are nice and clean and readable with the centres showing some spindle wear and this comes in its original Emitex polylined diecut inner which is clean and crisp......................................Overall a really nice example and whoever gets this will not be disappointed..................................
