My listening equipment is a highly revealing Yamaha PF-800 turntable (equal to a 1990s LP12 – I am not familiar with the modern ones that cost more than a small car), pre/power amps and B&W Matrix Reference speakers. Before listing I always clean LPs on a vacuum record cleaning machine and I always determine audio quality by playing the LP not just by visual inspection. For this LP I have used an Ortofon OM10 MM cartridge.
Played on my system, this LP grades VG+ with some minor background noise to the run-in grooves and between tracks. On side one there are some soft ticks to the intro of track 4. On side two there are some clicks towards the end of track one and a nanosecond skip right at the end of this track. The front laminated flipback cover is also VG+ with just a little rubbing to the corners and some thumbnail creases to the laminate near the spine (see photos).
Matrices are XEX 605-2 & XEX 606-2. Side one label has Taxman and Eleanor Rigby on the same line. Side two label has the embossed KT tax Code and Doctor Robert – the cover has Dr Robert.
Will be well packaged for safe transit.
