THE BEATLES - REVOLVER -

ORIGINAL UNIQUE pressing from the ULTRA RARE UK MONO ONE BOX PRESS IN GREAT CONDITION THROUGHOUT, with UNIQUE STEREO AND MONO Labels!!

Great Playing Record! SUPERB Audio!!! Great Cover and Record Labels! From my own personal collection.

The One Box Parlophone MONO press is one of the rarest pressings of Revolver, and an extremely rare Beatles record. This one box press is not only in superb condition, but also has a stereo label variant on side 1. making this a UNIQUE one off pressing of this Beatles classic. An absolute one of a kind!!!

There are very few genuinely UNIQUE records in existence. One off pressings are amongst the rarest vinyls you can find, as most vinyl's, even very limited rare editions were usually pressed in the thousands. Genuinely unique records virtually never come on the market.

This is a RARE MONO pressing with early matrix variant. This is a great press of this classic album, and a great collectors opportunity.

ORIGINAL UK Pressing on the MONO One Box Parlophone label!!!!  THIS IS A SERIOUSLY RARE LP, in fact its a ONE OFF, UNIQUE Press in TOP CONDITION, of ONE OF THE BEATLES RAREST & MOST SOUGHT AFTER LPs. Incredible!

ALBUM PLAYED FOR GRADING:

Yes – brilliant! - TOP AUDIO -  sound quality throughout

REVOLVER, arguably the Beatles first concept driven album, is a complex and varied collection of music, and is a relatively sensitive piece of vinyl, and hard to find in clear audio condition. Worn copies can have a lot of surface sound even on musically complex and busy tracks like 'Tomorrow Never Knows.' This pressing has strong undistorted audio, with bright clear sound. There is certainly NO dominant  interference, and NO loud pops or clicks or Distortion. It really sounds great and plays with great sound separation and clarity!

Superb sound with clear audio, every track has been tested and I could find no obvious sound blemishes. I will give a detailed account below;

'Taxman' bursts in with superb clear audio. Bright loud sound, there are no pops or clicks, and certainly not a hint of distortion. The full orchestration of 'Eleanor Rigby' plays with perfect separation. This track is the first real test for Revolver, with multi layering but also a sparseness, it plays superbly. The vocal clarity is incredible. Some light occasional static only but no pops or clicks . 'I'm Only Sleeping' sounds great with just a bit of light static at the end of the track .

'Love You To' opens with a very clean intro, and the sitar sounds amazingly clear and bright. There is some static in the middle but its in no way intrusive or dominant. Still no loud pops or clicks, 'Here, There And Everywhere' plays superbly but there is a bit of light static at the start, certainly nothing unusual for vinyl though . Being ultra critical, I did hear a couple of very light tics, but they were pretty hard to hear. 'Yellow Submarine', sounds great, again with no pops or clicks, just great clear music, all the sound effects that make up this track are crystal clear, with some light static at the start of the track only . 'She Said She Said' rounds off side one and sounds wonderful with bright clear audio, superb.

Side 2. begins with the classic upbeat 'Good Day Sunshine'. It plays through brilliantly with no pops or clicks, and virtually NO static, even in the run ins. I heard one single light pop between track 1 and 2, but it is light and between the music . 'And Your Bird Can Sing' plays beautifully, again with virtually no static at all, and no obvious sound interference's.  'For No One'  and 'Doctor Robert' sound great, with absolutely minimal surface static and no pops or other sound interruptions . 'I Want To Tell You' and the classic 'Got To Get You Into My Life' both sound superb, with bright clear sound and NO pops or clicks. As does the final 'Tomorrow Never Knows'. This radical track rounds of this great vinyl superbly, with amazingly clear loud sound. This is a great early press of Revolver, with no loud clicks or pops anywhere and certainly no distortion, buzzing or other dominant interference's. A little light static, slightly more so in the very middle track of side one, but I am being very critical, and any static that is there is very occasional, hard to hear and very much in the background. Great music with great clarity, and hard to find with this type of sound. I would easily give this great record an audio grading of EXCELLENT PLUS.

A great all round example of this great vinyl.

THE RECORD – VISUAL GRADING

A superb piece of glossy vinyl, and a really thick pressing. The record still has great shine, with no scratches, minimal  handling marks and minimal paper removal marks. In daylight Side 1. looks completely un marked, and on side 2. there are only the faintest tiny handling marks only and a couple of ultra light short hairlines. This is a really stunning example, clear grooves that deliver absolutely amazing audio clarity.

Can easily grade at least at EXCELLENT PLUS to NEAR MINT.

Revolver is the seventh album by The Beatles, released on 5 August 1966. Many of the tracks on Revolver are marked by an electric guitar-rock sound, in contrast with their previous, folk rock inspired Rubber Soul. It reached number 1 on both the UK and US Charts and stayed at the top spot for seven weeks and six weeks, respectively.

The album is often regarded as one of the greatest achievements in rock music history, and one of the Beatles' greatest studio achievements. It was released before their last tour in August 1966, but they did not perform songs from the album live. Their reasoning for this was that many of the tracks on the album, such as "Tomorrow Never Knows", were too complex to perform with live instruments.

Revolver is often cited as one of the greatest albums in music history. It has numerous shifts in mood and production texture, but in its innovative manipulation of amplification and electronics to produce new sounds on guitars and other instruments.  Specific, widely-heralded examples include the backwards riffs of "I'm Only Sleeping", the sound effects of "Yellow Submarine", the sitar of "Love You To", the blurry guitars of "She Said, She Said", and above all the seagull chanting, buzzing drones, megaphone vocals, free-association philosophising, and varispeed tape effects of "Tomorrow Never Knows".

This early MONO / STREO ONE BOX Press gives a great authentic Beatles listening experience. Hard to believe this great vinyl is from the 60's! A true collectors gem!

VINYL TESTED FOR ANY SIGNS OF WARPING:

Yes, NONE visible what so ever when tested be sight and on a moving turntable.

THE COVER

A tiny amount of the PMC Mono One Box pressings were released, and the fist batch came with the 1st issue flip back cover.

This ultra rare vinyl comes complete with the ultra rare original MONO logo issue 'garrod and Lofthouse Ltd' cover, with patents pending text to the bottom right hand corner of the rear sleeve, in great condition.

These Revolver covers are prone to wear, like so many of the classic Beatles vinyls from the sixties. The laminate is prone to cracking and lifting, with serious ring wear and destruction to the edges. The unlaminated back is usually heavily marked and The Spines are nearly always flattened, worn and un readable. Not this one!

There is minimal scuffing to the corners, and no rubbing along the edges. The opening edges are very square and un frayed, with none of the common small splits at the opening. The white areas are very white, with no obvious blemishes. The back cover is nice and clean, with NO finger prints (that are nearly always present and cant really be removed)  and  NO ring wear, which is very unusual for these delicate covers. The spine is square and un broken, (there are a couple of ultra light creases only) and the text is completely in tact.

A great example. All round, this is a really TOP cover!!! Easily grades at EXCELLENT.

THE LABELS - NEAR MINT CONDITION

These UNIQUE combination MONO and STEREO Press Parlophone ONE BOX labels are in simply stunning NEAR MINT Condition, with no sticker marks or writing, and virtually no spindle traces. An inredible pair.

THE INNER - EXCELLENT PLUS CONDITION.

Another rarity about this record. Beatles One Box pressings came after the Yellow and Black label pressings and were re issued with the red / sepia picture inner sleeve. A tiny amount of the Revolver ONE BOX Mono press came with a cream coloured inner sleeve, printed in black, and this is a stunning example.

This classic press comes with the Original UK Emi picture inner sleeve, with NO splits on any of the sides, and NO splits or frays at the top, and no serious staining and just some light yellowing, as clearly seen in the images. There is some marking from the impression of the record as seen in the images. A stunning example, and one of the earliest editions. Easily grades at EXCELLENT PLUS

The record will of course come in a plain white replacement inner sleeve, to protect the originals!

RARITY

There are very few genuinely UNIQUE records in existence. Even rare records were produced in quantity, and while records were often pressed in early runs with inconsistencies that would be later corrected, genuinely unique records virtually never come on the market.

EARLY MONO ONE BOX PRESSINGS in playable condition extremely rare. They virtually never come on the market and were produced in tiny quantities. The vinyl is so often played so much, heavily marked, scratched, with noisy, poor and distorted sound.

The cover is almost impossible to find without serious wear, even modestly worn examples are scarce and this is a TOP example, with no cracks or serious marks. Finding a nice cover like this, with a heavy piece of vinyl, fantastic!.

FINDING AN ORIGINAL MONO PRESS, with ULTRA CLEAN LABELS and TOP AUDIO THROUGHOUT, and an original 'flip back MONO' cover, along with the rarer inner sleeve and the UNIQUE Stereo / MONO label hybrid communication MAKES THIS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO OWN AN EXTREME Rarity, A UNIQUE PIECE OF MUSICAL HISTORY in GREAY CONDITION.

GREAT COVERS WITH NO SEAM SPLITS, NO TEARS, NO WRITING, NO STICKERS.

GREAT VINYLS WITH NO LOUD CLICKS OR POPS, NO JUMPS OR REPEATS - GUARANTEED!

SCRUPULOUS EXAMINATION and TESTING; PLEASE NOTE:

This record has been play tested on highly sensitive equipment to ensure the sound quality and accuracy of description. I aim to give a precise and concise description of the sound quality, pointing out any defects so that you know what you are buying. I will not go into screeds of information about the nature of the songs, as I imagine that you already know them well. I aim to describe all items as accurately as possible, and offer a full refund on return if for any reason you are not completely happy with the item description.

.

VINYL SOUND - PLEASE NOTE:

The highest quality vinyl with clear sound is rare, and is what I always aim for. I only sell records that play with TOP AUDIO performance, super clear sound uninterrupted by hiss or other interference. Even with the cleanest copies you will find occasional static sound or occasional light tics during playback, caused by a build of dust in the grooves. This is clearly different from the distortion, loud pops, repeating tics or clicks that are found on heavily played and worn pieces of vinyl. Any static build up will reduce when played, and I advise a light clean should be given between plays for optimal performance.

VINYL

Large format art work covers with the original sound and mix unique to vinyl and of the highest quality audio. Vinyl record have always been loved and have become a great investment opportunity, with prices soaring over the last ten years, making classic pieces a great financial as well as a cultural investment.
