The Sleeve: 1st & original Flipback sleeve in Very Good Condition.
It is fully laminated with a few mild creases. Moderate storage wear on corners, and a name written neatly on the back. All text legible and pictorials clear and glossy. The iconic front photo is superb, this is the darker image (later prints had a light green hue, and a lighter red 'Rubber Soul'). This is the original photograph with the tear on John Lennon's right shoulder not yet air-brushed out!
A clean and neat sleeve. Printed & made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents Pending.
Inner Sleeve : This is the original and correct EMI Emitex 'Made In England' tracing paper lined inner sleeve. It is very good condition and fully functional and houses the LP properly. There is a small clear tape repair on either side where there has been a small split. It is clean and has very little age discoloration.
The Vinyl: In Very Good condition. The vinyl surfaces retain a bright black glossy finish, having several feint non-feelable superficial hairlines and wispy sleeve/ cleaning trails, when looked at in normal light on Side 1. No other marks such as smudges or dinks, and nothing which adversely affects the audio, with no noticeable areas of groove wear. Side 2 has faired better having a mirror like shine with a few light hairlines noticeable under strong light. The record lays completely flat on the turntable, with has no warps.
Very heavy robust sixties vinyl weighing at 178 grams.
Labels are Very Good. Text is clear and bright, the perimeter area around the spindle location point has fine spindle wear and spindle line traces are not too heavy.

The text is the Times New Roman font which only lasted a short time and can be found on some of the first 'Loud-Cut's'. It was changed back to Sans-Serif block text in mid-1966.
The Audio: The audio is Excellent Minus overall having no major detractions such as pops, skips, jumps or sticks. Side 1 has some light hiss noticeable at some points on 'Michelle' and some ticks at the end of that track. All other tracks on both sides play crisply without any unwanted background noise. The intro grooves to each track are quiet with the exception 'Nowhere Man' and 'The Word' on Side 1 where there are ticks on the intro grooves. Overall the vinyl surfaces deliver a full bass sound and the record plays smoothly with clear audio.
This is commonly referred to as the corrected mix as it quickly followed the short-lived 1st press 'Loud Cut'. This -4/-4 matrix cut was soon followed by another corrected mix -5/-5.

This LP will be securely delivered in a professional cardboard LP mailer with cardboard stifferners.
A plain generic inner sleeve will house the record and the original will be placed separately to prevent tears during delivery.
