This is the first and original uncut mix of Rubber Soul with the first master matrices on both sides. It was a short lived pressing and was discontinued shortly after xmas 1965. It is referred to as the Loud Cut due to its more edgy, punchy bass line in comparison to later pressings. It has 1st record labels and original sleeve and is how Rubber Soul appeared when it first hit the stores.

This Loud Cut is especially rare due to the embossed MT tax code.

The Sleeve: 1st & original Flipback sleeve in Very Good Condition.

Moderate storage wear on corners, and a couple of nicks on top edge. Has maintained a good firm shape and holds record well. All text legible and pictorials clear and glossy. Fully laminated with a little rippling effect but no record ring wear. All flipbacks fully intact, and there are no splits or rips to the sleeve. A few tiny creases emanating from spine edge. Spine fully intact and title text clear and bold. The iconic front photo is superb, this is the darker image (later prints had a light green hue, and a lighter red 'Rubber Soul'). This is the original photograph with the tear on John Lennon's right shoulder not yet air-brushed out!

Inner Sleeve : This is the original and correct EMI Emitex 'Made In England' tracing paper lined inner sleeve. It is in Excellent condition and fully functional with no splits and is intact inside and out at all seams.

The Vinyl: In Very Good Plus condition. The vinyl surfaces retain a very bright black glossy finish. Turned angled under direct light there a fair amount of very feint small non-feelable superficial stylus hairlines in most areas, but which cause no audio detractions. The mirror-like surface shine is smooth and in normal light the vinyl surfaces look excellent. The vinyl is clean, the record lays completely flat on the turntable, and has no warps.

Very heavy robust sixties vinyl weighing at 176 grams.

Labels are Very Good Plus to match. Text is clear and bright, the perimeter area around the spindle location point has fine spindle wear and spindle line traces can been seen but not too heavy, and don't reach outside of the centre ring.

Has the earlier MT tax code from the early mid-sixties is embossed (most will have KT).

The text for the song titles is the Times Roman font. The loud cut was only pressed for a few weeks, but during this time the font was changed from block capital to Times New Roman font which can be found on fewer of the 'Loud-Cut's', and the early second presses. It was quickly changed back to block capital afterwards.

The Audio: The audio is Excellent having no major detractions such as pops, skips, jumps or sticks. Overall the vinyl surfaces deliver a full bass sound and the record plays smoothly with a crisp and clear audio. There are some light ticks in some of the quieter parts and track change intro's mainly near the start of each side, and is probably just static build up, and there is nothing that could be considered as background noise. The robustness of these early pressings always ensures that the sound quality doesn't deteriorate noticeably as long as the record has not been mistreated.

The vocals have an excellent crisp clear definition throughout, and the mono bass line is noticeably different to the second and later pressings.

This LP will be securely delivered in a professional cardboard LP mailer with cardboard stifferners.

A plain anti-static inner sleeve will house the record and the original will be placed separately.

A high grade PVC sleeve is included to further protect the LP as shown.

UK delivery is included and signed for.
