Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Rubber Soul' 1965 first press MONO LOUD CUT vinyl LP!
This particular pressing is the very first MONO pressing of Rubber Soul, released in 1965. It is referred to as the 'Loud Cut' due to the fact that when it was first released, they accidentally used the wrong mix for the album. The Loud Cut mix is obviously louder, rougher around the edges and has slightly more bass. It was discontinued shortly after release so is seen as VERY collectible amongst Beatles fans! It features the first Sans Serif font on both labels, comes with the original EMITEX inner sleeve and the original mono flipback sleeve! DO NOT MISS OUT!!!

Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - there are a decent amount of light scratches and hairline marks on the record...none that are deep however! Still retains a nice gloss and shine but please note it does have a decent amount of light, non-feelable long scratches. Rated as VERY GOOD. Label is VERY GOOD.                       Side 2 - same as Side 1! Looks well-played but also well looked-after considering it's age.

Audio: I have played the first two tracks on each side ONLY!!! From this, I can grade the audio as GOOD++/VERY GOOD-. There is a decent amount of background crackle that can be especially heard on the quieter passages. I recommend a deep clean to improve the clarity! The audio is very punchy and of course LOUD! The background crackle is present but it remains in the background so please bear this in mind when bidding! Very punchy and crisp - classic mono 60s sound! On the four tracks that I played, NO SKIPS, NO STICKS and NO JUMPS on my system!

Inner Sleeve: The original EMITEX inner sleeve is currently in VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+ condition! It has NO RIPS, NO TEARS and NO SPLITS! There is some discolouration and creases however.


Sleeve: The original 1965 MONO gatefold sleeve is currently rated as VERY GOOD-/VERY GOOD! The front of the sleeve has a great gloss and shine but it does have some ringwear, creasing and light laminate creasing. There is also some wear to the opening edge as seen in the pictures! All the other edges are fully intact with no splits! The rear of the sleeve has some staining and writing. It also has some light creasing and light wear to the opening edge. Slight discolouration but overall, holding up extremely well! The flipbacks are held down tightly with some creasing but nothing serious. The spine is 100% readable and strong with light wear.
