Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my Rolling Stones, Beatles (and related) and 60’s beat records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, an extremely rare UK 1st MONO pressing of The Beatles – Rubber Soul album on the YELLOW / BLACK Parlophone label, cat. no. PMC 1267. This copy has the XEX 579-1 and XEX 580-1 matrix numbers, indicating that this is the “Loud Cut”.
The record is in VG condition; there are a some hairlines and one or two non-sounding marks. The labels are in VG condition; there are some spindle marks and some light wear around the spindle hole on both sides.
The cover, a Garrod & Lofthouse printed one, is in VG+ condition; besides the normal wear and tear, there are a couple creases along the spine on the front side and the back has some age browning. Further there is some wear on the opening edge on the front.
Although not in mint condition, this is an extremely rare UK first pressing of the Beatles’ Rubber Soul album with the withdrawn loud mix. Just how often can you find a copy of this particular album with the loud cut? Almost all copies are amongst collector nowadays and it’s very hard to obtain one. This is a unique opportunity to complete your life-time Beatles record collection! A must have for all Beatles label collectors! Happy Bidding!
