Description

Hello there! Many thanks for perousing my items! When you've looked here, you might like to check out some of my other items, I have some other very rare Beatles etc. items currently listed with many more to come, heck, I'd even suggest you add me to your favourite sellers to keep on top of all the goodies that I'm going to list over the coming months!
I have collected records since I was very young, however Iincreasingly I have realised that I have far too many, and soI have been slowly trying to rationalise my extensive collection over the years, I have sold many major rarities over the years, from major BEATLES and 60s rarities, through PUNK and PROG ROCK, CLASSICAL and BLUES. Basically I've had alot of very rare records and in dribs and drabs have sold them off. I've never had negative feedback, and had many repeat customers. I will only post completely insured and tracked.
This week I'm selling many Beatles/Kinks/Yardbirds Etc. 7" rarities. Here we have the 1962 first pressing on the highly prized RED PARLOPHONE labels, of THE BEATLES 1st single, LOVE ME DO b/w P.S. I LOVE YOU, with no Gt. Britain text at 3 o'clock on either label. This is the Ringo on drums, no tambourine version, only available on the early red parlophone copies, and the early black copies, the EP/LP/later issues have the Andy White version with Ringo on tambourine, in short, if you want to hear this version, you need to shell out for an early copy! The Red Parlophone copies, both with, and without the Great Britain text are rare and sought after, but do also check out the 1st black copy I also have currently listed, all very rare stuff!

RECORD CONDITION: VG, it has some light surface hairlines, and a few slightly more obvious ones, though nothing to signifficantly detract from the playing enjoyment! Plays nice and strongly!
RECORD LABELS: VG-, no grafitti or tears, the centre is missing, though it has been removed carefully, withoput causing any damage to the remaining label. There is a little dark mark on the "RL" of the "paRLophone" text on the A-side, and a slightly darker mark around the perimeter at 5 o'clock and 10 o'clock on the B-side label, and what looks like a small stain over the "£" at 3 o'clock of the B-side label.  Other than that, nice! Strong vibrant colours, no fading etc!
SLEEVE CONDITION: VG, A Generally handled, but nice copy of the sleeve of the time (the sleeve it came into my possession in), no rips/grafitti etc, all of the edges hold strongly, and don't have any wear-throughs. A bit of age yellowing, and general handling folding, but nothing major!

It appears that, as these plates were pressed just around the time that tax codes were going through changes, they put them all on in case of a fire! We have the MP, and the ZT tax codes in the dead wax on both sides!

Any further question please don't hesitate to ask! Thanks again, and why not check out my other items?! River.Dog
