Description
- The Beatles released "Reel Music" in March 1982 on Capitol Records. It is a compilation of songs from the group's five movies without any instrumental fillers. There's 3 songs from "Help!," 4 from "A Hard Days Night," 3 from "Let It Be," and 2 each from "Magical Mystery Tour" and "Yellow Submarine." It's also notable because it includes the first U.S. releases of "Ticket To Ride" and "A Hard Days Night" in true Stereo.
- This rare promo copy (SV-12199) is from the first pressing, is still in its original factory shrink wrap and is in like new condition. The 12-page The Beatles Souvenir Program featuring photos from the movies and the color photo inner sleeve are pristine and I rate the album package as easily VG+. The disc looks great and test plays cleanly and I rate it VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was remastered by John Lemay at Capitol and was pressed at the Capitol Records plant in Los Angeles. The Side 1 dead wax is etched SV-1-12199 G-13 1 ✲ Ⓧ and stamped Mastered By Capitol and then etched J. Lemay.
- In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve. It will ship securely in the special corrugated Album Mailer seen in the last picture.
- This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 38 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
