THE BEATLES: Rubber Soul. Half-Speed Remastered Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab used LP in Mint/Near Mint condition; MFSL Catalog # 1-106
Condition: Vinyl Mint (played all of once when first bought); Packaging would be Mint if not for ever so slight “dent” in upper right corner of back of jacket. How’s that for conservative grading? Includes original insert promoting other MFSL releases and soft poly sleeve for LP. It would be difficult to find a copy of this in equally great condition.
Behind the Music: Rubber Soul! Revolver! Sgt. Pepper’s! Magical Mystery Tour! “The White Album”! Abbey Road! How the heck do ya pick a fave?!? Personally, I love “The White Album” (official title simply The Beatles) best of all, with its range of musical styles and moods. I will be offering my Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab edition of this album once I figure out what became of the 8 x 10 color portraits of the boys that came with it. I set them aside an eon ago in order to frame them and get them on my walls, but didn’t complete that task. Stay tuned, as we say in radio.
I don’t need to hype this album. You already know that it was followed by Revolver, as the boys followed genius producer George Martin into new realms of Pop Music creativity. Get on board!
