Up for auction is a highly collectible, premium audiophile pressing of The Beatles' masterpiece, *Rubber Soul*, released by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL 1-106) in 1984.
This particular copy is a rare, documented Promotional Copy, designated by the official **"Promotional Use Only" gold foil stamp** cleanly struck directly onto the front of the jacket. MFSL earmarked these incredibly limited early pressings for radio stations, industry executives, and audio reviewers because they were pulled from the freshest, crispest stampers.
This album comes **100% collector-complete** with all original internal inserts, which have been meticulously preserved over the decades. ---
💿 CONDITION & GRADING DETAILS
**Vinyl Disc: VG+ to NM (Very Good Plus to Near Mint)** **Visual:** Outstanding, high-gloss luster. Under bright light, the vinyl shows only a couple of faint, wispy paper scuffs that do not affect play. No deep scratches, gouges, or defects. **Audio:** Plays beautifully with the signature, warm, and highly defined MFSL soundstage. Quiet passages are clean, and the vocal separation is stunning. Truly an audiophile-grade playback experience. **Labels:** Pristine, clean labels with no writing, stickers, or notable spindle wear.
**Jacket: VG+ (Very Good Plus)** **Front/Back:** The jacket retains excellent color with sharp, vibrant graphics. The gold foil promo stamp is bright, crisp, and fully intact. **Edges/Spine:** The spine is solid, completely legible, and unbroken. Minimal, light shelf wear along the bottom seam and mild corner softening typical of a well-cared-for 40-year-old vintage jacket. Just a hint of foxing and minimal ring wear. No splits, tears, or tape.
**Inserts: NM (Near Mint / Complete)** * Includes the original **MFSL anti-static rice paper inner sleeve**. * Includes the original **stiff cardboard fold-out gatefold protector** insert in crisp, uncreased condition.
