Description
The Beatles Second Album 1964 Media Copy with a Blue Rubber Ink Stamp
A1 / A1 !!!
Impossible to find. Very rare copy with a promotional rubber ink stamp on the back cover. Scranton, PA pressing plant's RIAA 3. The copy is pressed on the black rainbow deep groove labels without the "Subsidiary" print. Very early 1st day print label variation showing "You Can't Do That" with the timing of 2:23 which very quickly was changed to 2:33 and Side 2 without the timing for the "Long Tall Sally" and "I Call Your Name" tracks. Matrix numbers: TX I 2080 J16 R 1 A1 / TX 2 2080 G16 R 1 A1. I think it's an RCA contract pressing as the letter "R" is present in the dead wax. "R" represents the year the record was pressed, 1964. The matrix numbers in the dead wax area are consistent with the RCA small machine stamped font. The cover is graded Excellent (EX) with the vinyl being in Very Good Plus (VG+) condition. Only some light hairlines and scuffs, but nothing serious. The album has an original blue 1st pressing inner sleeve. Very rare media copy in a very nice condition.
