Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my rare Beatles, Beatles Related and Rolling Stones records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, an extremely rare 1st German STEREO EXPORT pressing of The Beatles – Second Album on the Red / White / Gold Odeon label, cat. no. ZTOX 5558. This copy still has the original German EMI Advertising inner sleeve. I believe this pressing was made for sales on American Army Bases stationed in West Germany back in 1964.
The record is in VG minus to VG condition; there are many non-sounding hairlines, a couple superficial surface marks and a couple sounding marks Most of these sounding marks are on the first track, “Roll Over Beethoven”. I’ve test played this record and still sounds great, with some background noise and occasional pops and clicks. The labels are in VG condition, there are many spindle marks and there is a name written on both labels.
The cover is in VG condition; there is some wear on the opening edge on both front and back, there is a spine split of approx. 3.5 centimetres, on the back there is a name written and some age browning..
The original German EMI advertising inner is in VG minus condition, there are seam and bottom splits and there is one large tear on the die-cut hole.
This is an extremely rare 1st German STEREO EXPORT pressing of the Beatles’ Second Album. This record was made for Americans, stationed at American Army Bases in West Germany. As you can understand, this record was made in very limited quantities. This is a real opportunity to complete your life-time Beatles record collection! A must have for all Beatles records collectors! Happy Bidding!
