MONO LP - Yellow & Black Parlophone Label

PMC.7027 / XEX.637-1 / XEX.638-1

THIS IS A 1ST PRESSING IN MONO FROM 1967

The standard yellow block writing Parlophone label.

The "All rights of the manufacturer" message around the edge of the label starts with "The Gramophone Co. Ltd."

The label DOES have "Sold in the U.K..." statement.

The sleeve is gatefold with "flipback" seams.

The inner sleeve is red and white.

The cardboard cut-out insert is present.

Condition:

Sleeve: GOOD+ : Garrod and Lofthouse laminated sleeve with "Flipback" seams. Clean throughout. No unwanted writing or stickers. The corners show light scuffing from general use. There is surface damage to the bottom half of the spine [see photo].

The usual light creasing along edges, and the laminate is lifting in a small area bottom right corner of the rear.

Complete with original "RED & WHITE" inner sleeve which is in EXCELLENT condition, and free of splits or creases.

The carboard "cut-out" sheet is present and in Excellent condition.

Record: VERY GOOD - In good clean condition. There are numerous small light hairlines to be found on Side 2, but these are minor and should not effect play. Side 1 shows a noticable light surface scratch running from edge to centre, and several noticable surface scuffs.

Labels are very clean and bright, and show minimal spindle wear. Side 1 has a sticker attached by a previous owner, which can no doubt be removed with care.

Personally checked for sound and quality - and it plays really well throughout - with no skips or jumps

I try to accurately describe the condition as per The Record Collector's Guide's parameters:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or unplayed should be mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have some slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.
