All records are graded to the Record Collector Guidelines, with extra information added as required when play tested. Also all photos above are of the exact record you will receive if purchased.
This record is in very good+ condition. It does have spindle marks visible on each label but there are no pen marks, scuffs, stains or other issues. Overall the iconic yellow and black Parlophone labels are clean, bright and in good shape with all text clearly legible and just the spindle marks to report. They also have all text associated with the UK 1st pressing. I.e,"The Gramophone Co." in the radial text, "Sold in the U.K. Subject To Resale Price Conditions, See Price Lists" across label and "Made in Gt. Britain" at foot.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides are free from anything deep, nasty or major and it is still has a nice lustre to it. There is no really nasty or obvious scratches but there are light ones and some scuffs in places. There is scuffing, wispy lines and general signs of use/handling to both sides, with also a slightly more obvious(but light) line across half of side 2. Overall this vintage used lp is showing some signs of age and use but is also still in very good playing condition with no nasty marks, serious scratches or heavy signs of wear.
I play tested the record and it played nicely and produced very enjoyable audio throughout. It lays flat on the deck and upon playing there is little to no movement noticeable in the record arm. The audio produced has no skips, sticks or annoying tics and is generally nice and clear. There is the occasional minor splutter of surface noise but nothing at all severe or disruptive. I noted a minor amount of surface noise in the run ins on both sides and a few splutters in the opening few seconds of the intros. There was also a light amount of surface noise between some tracks and a touch in the mellow 'fade out' of the last song on side 2. Overall it plays nicely however and would easily match the VG+ visual grade audibly. I would say it is more like a strong grade of EX- audibly with no worrying issues just the odd slightest amount of surface noise.
The laminated gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition. It has no serious issues to it such as tears, splits, pen marks or scuffs but there is some general signs of age in places. The spine is all legible and solid but there is some laminate discolouring to it and light wear to the bottom section. There is also light ring marks to each side and a few laminate creases marks to the rear top left corner area. Inside the gatefold again has no serious issues and is generally clean, bright and excellent. There is a few white marks on the bottom edge of the top flipbacks however. So overall a solid and tidy sleeve with no serious issues but a few minor age related ones. I have tried to describe the sleeve as best I can but please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible as to its condition.
It contains its original card insert which is in near mint condition with no tears, pen marks and little to no creasing or discolouring.
It also includes its original red/white 'psych' inner. This is in very good+ condition with no splits, tears or pen marks but with some light age spots and minor discolouring in places. There is also some obvious creasing across one side(see pics) and more general creasing around the corners and to both sides. I will of course send the record in a brand new plain white replacement inner to ensure no damage or splits occur to the original during transit.
I hope my photos are comprehensive enough(can provide more of any marks/wear on vinyl if required but could not upload any more due to 12 photo limit reached) but if you have any questions then don't hesitate to contact me.
