One of the best and most iconic albums ever made and its musical influence is immeasurable.
Vinyl and Labels - Ex
There are some surface marks, mainly visible under harsh electric light. I have got to say, although it probably looks in very good condition, it actually plays to a strong excellent standard. One of the nicest sounding examples I have ever heard. No distortion of sound or any loud pops, sticks, jumps etc to worry about at all, just pure audio quality with at worst, some mild background with nothing to spoil listening pleasure of this amazing 1st issue Sgt Pepper.
Laminated Gatefold 'Wide Spine' Sleeve - V. Good+
Wide spine sleeve is in strong very good condition with some non excessive storage wear and mild laminate creases. There are some creases to inner spine on opened gatefold, I am told these are common to the rarer wide spine sleeve and this is why they changed it for later pressings. Overall, no serious problems and sleeve still retains a wondeful laminate high gloss sheen, with all text, colours and graphics rich, strong and vibrant. A very respectable example of a Sgt Pepper 'wide spine' sleeve that is becoming more and more scarce.
The card cut-out insert is in very good condition. Would be excellent were it not for 4 corner marks on plain card rear, see pic below.
'The Fool' red and white inner is in excellent condition with no real issues to mention, just mild non excessive normal storage/handling evidence. This red and white psychedelic inner was designed by The Fool. a group of Dutch artists and musicians and it is so often missing from original issues of Sgt Pepper.

I am a record collector myself and know how important it is to receive records in the condition in which they are advertised, and for them not to be damaged in transit through inadequate packaging.
I send out all my records using strong, stiff cardboard with extra bubble wrap protection. Also, the record is removed from outer and original inner sleeves, placed in a strong non original inner, then it goes inside protective polythene sleeve, side by side with original sleeves.
If the value of the record is over £30.00 GBP insurance up to the value of the record is recommended.
