Condition (Disc/Audio/Gatefold Sleeve): VISUAL EXCELLENT / AUDIO EXCELLENT(+) / VERY GOOD(+)
COVER
This is the correct issued 1st PRESS 'Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.', with wholly laminated flipback gatefold sleeve. This example is in near excellent condition, with surface gloss/shine and clean condition, with no tears, writing, marks etc. At the corners and edges has a mild wear and laminate traces. The spine is narrow, well shaped/rounded, strong, with small wear at the middle part, that is comparatively well legible/readable, not too bad considering it`s 50 years old. Looks nice on the whole. Inside is excellent. VERY GOOD(+) CONDITION. (see pics.)
VINYL
Both sides still retain a dark glossy shine, in daylight and under bright light inspection both sides look nice with nothing more than a couple of light surface paper marks at side 2 (not deep, the most visible and in result of input and pull out inner sleeve. The vinyl record is stored in a separate sleeve of the original Psychedelic Red inner sleeve. It will be sent separately in additional plane sleeve. Visually Side 1 is in EXCELLENT(+) condition, Side 2 is in EXCELLENT(-) condition.
AUDIO: Upon playing both sides, the audio quality was as pleasing, perfect MONO crystal clear sound with only a couple of light clicks here-there between some songs ( ). There is certainly no dominant interference and nothing obtrusive in the playback, both visually and audibly. WITHOUT distortion sound vibrations, NO Repeats or Scips/Jumps! EXCELLENT (+) sound condition. (Rare and hard to find this iconic record in such a nice audio conditions.)
LABELS
Black label with yellow logo and silver print. “The Gramophone Co. Ltd.” printed at the start perimeter print and “Sold in U.K. subject…” text.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT condition without any unwanted writing or stains but with several very light spindle trails on either side. The KT tax code is present on side 1.
INNER SLEEVE
The correct 1st PRESS handle with original Psychedelic Red inner sleeve. Sleeve is in near EXCELLENT condition without any writing or seam splits, but is slightly weared here and there, compared to the near mint example. EXCELLENT(-) inner sleeve condition.
CUT-OUTS
Dark green original Cut-outs, in EXCELLENT conditions. Due to slight wear at the edges of the storage over the years that are nearly 50, as you know I not rated it near mint.
Comments: overall a very nice UK 1st PRESS LP collectors Item. Pls., note, this is not mint or near mint album! Some may be would rate it as EXCELLENT(+), but my estimation is only EXCELLENT.
