Description
Up for auction is a very nice original stereo pressing of The Beatles album Something New, originally released in the U.S on Capitol Records (ST-2108) in 1964:
-Guaranteed original stereo pressing, not reissue -Original black 'rainbow" Capitol labels -No "subsidiary" on label rim
-Matrix deadwax reads:
-ST - 2108 - W6
-ST - 2108 - W6 #2 -Early RIAA 4 cover
-Original and correct blue Capitol inner sleeve -Original paste-down cover -No UPC/bar code on cover -Vinyl comes in poly audiophile inner sleeve
Condition: Cover is in very nice condition. These black covers were very prone to wear, but this one has only very light signs of wear or age. Front shows just a bit of light ring wear along right edge and bottom middle. Seams are great, no wear or cracking. Corners are very good, a couple light bumps (see photos). White edges are very white not age discolored like most copies. Back looks clean, no ring wear, just some light aging along the edges (see photo). A very well-preserved nice copy.
Grade: Excellent Minus (EX-), better than typical VG+ copies
Vinyl is also very nice, still retains its original glossy shine. No apparent scratches or scuffs, but under a strong light some faint "rash" shows up from the inner sleeve, just some faint signs of having been taken out of paper inner sleeve a few times, nothing that would affect the quality of playback which is excellent. Labels are clean, unmarked, no marks around spindle holes, which look fresh. Looks like this record has been played maybe only a couple times previously but handled with care.
Spot Play-Tested: I have spot play-tested this record, the sound quality is excellent, clean and clear. Plays very quiet even on the lead-in grooves. True full-bodied fidelity, no significant distractions.
Grade: Excellent (EX)
Combined Shipping:
Yes, I offer significant combined shipping discounts. Just ask!
How I Pack Your Records:
I remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
International Shipping:
Because of unreliable postal services, buyers in France and Italy must pay for Expedited international shipping, which includes tracking and insurance. I've had too many records lost or damaged shipping to these countries. Also, I do not ship to Central or South America, or China.
100% satisfaction guaranteed, no risk buying. My 100% positive feedback allows you to buy with confidence. Returns accepted, no questions asked.
